Sellers at 23.5c need not to que 'cos the moment you key-in the sale order, the House would've matched your orders to the Buyer or the House Stockists. Therefore, you would not see any que for 23.5c. The Buyer/Buyers wouldn't want to pay more than what is already fixed....unless an unexpected new interest party comes into play. All shareholders will be informed by mail of the takeover bid by BT and an EGM will be held to get consent by Shareholders. If the majority agree to the takeover bid and sell their shares to BT, those who refuse to sell would be 'forced' to sell or thereafter, they would have problem disposing their shares. Cheers! |

Hmm... ten4one.. with regards to your info on demand and supply.. indeed.. for more than 3 days.. I am unable to secure FL at 23.5c.. But I cant comprehend how Buyer blocked us out? Most q to sell at 24c, so where's the 23.5c seller? The price is the end result of the battle between the forces of supply and demand for the company's stock. The price goes up becos of more buyers (demand) than sellers (supply). Apparently everyday, we could see more than 100 mils of shares on demand and less than 25 mils on supply. So, what deter de price from goin up and how? I wonder.... |

I remember ilovebull once mentioned this: "My understanding is that BT intention is to delist frontline. To delist it, BT must secure at least 90% of the shares. So they are buying up from the market." If this is the case.. FL for the time being.. will never hit beyond 0.24 or 0.245 unlesss got bigger player wanted to buy above this rate. So no point holding further, am I right? If BT really secured 90% shares and delisted FL from SGX.. wat will happen to existing or balance 10% shareholders who vested? Anyone can enlighten on tis area? |

That is how the Stock Market function - demand and supply. As long as there is demand and supply, a market px is fixed by willing sellers and buyers. I don't think you and I could get FL at 23.5c as there is a shortage of supply! This is how a Buyer blocks out 'unwelcomed' Players! And when there isn't anymore 23.5c-sellers, the Block will move to 24c and so on! And The Market already knew how far a Seller can go.....definitely not like any other! Cheers! |

If I may add, dividend is taxable, while capital is not. For guys who are in the 20% I think may not want to log in their div. and get taxed. Cheers hope this might help. |

It is true that when CD expired and after XD share pxs will normally drop; but not in the case of FL (due to T/over price fixed @24.5c). You must understand that in the Market, there're Players who don't want to receive dividends - it may sound silly, but it is true! Cheers! |

Hi Huatah, Let me try to answer your question, My understanding is that BT intention is to delist frontline. To delist it, BT must secure at least 90% of the shares. So they are buying up from the market. However, they cannot buy more than their own offer price of 24.5 cents. If they do so , for example they buy even 1 share at 25 cents, then they have to change their offer from 24.5 to 25 cents to every shareholder. So, they will not buy any share beyond 24.5 cents. However, if there are other interested party who wish to takeover frontline as well and offer higher than 24.5, then BT will probably have no choice but to buy/offer higher price. For existing shareholder who holds out for a few month, they will save the brokerage/commission fee. |

The T/over px doesn't include dividends; so the share px should be around 24.5c. Have to wait a long time to get thing finalized! Cheers and enjoy the profit! |
