Kingboard - undervalued PCB play!!!!

I too have been following this counter since last month. Vested since 0.445 and have been accumlating more at 0.52-0.535 range. Thought today is the day.. but anyway, technically the counter is still waiting for the clearance of 0.545, which will trigger me to buy more. Resistance at 0.58 then 52 weeks high 0.595. |

Last year result was announced on 24th Feb 2006 after Chinese New Year. This year Chinese New Year falls in late Feb 2006, so the company will have more time before Chinese New Year to prepare for result and most likely can expect results soon. Price have been consolidating at $0.53 for the last few sessions. If results are good, price will fly fast. |

CIMB recently recommend outperform at target price $0.81. Recent results of tech stocks such as UTAC and Stats has been encouraging. Kingboard results will be much better. Worth to take a look at $0.52 before result announcement. |

On Friday, three-month copper prices fell to US$5520 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange from $5820 the previous week. Copper and oil prices have been falling, margin for this stock will increase significantly over the next few quarters. Worth to take a ride on this stock for the tech sector before result announcement. |

It rose to a record on optimism over its growth prospects. CIMB-GK initiated coverage with an "outperform" call and target price of $0.81. "(Kingboard Copper) looks set to benefit as China becomes the world's largest print circuit boards manufacturing hub," said CIMB-GK analyst Jonathan Ng. Ng expects demand for copper foil to improve, following the growth of the consumer electronics market, as electronic products become more complex and product life cycles are shortened. |

Hi Singaporegal, I agree with you. 14days average vol was 1.5m against today's 21.375m. It's either some good news leaked out or manupilation. I rule out good news as the vol is way too large. When I looked at the Time and Sale figures, big boys have been buying UP every hour or so in the morning followed by smaller lots done in the afternoon. Lets follow up with this stock to see if there is any manipulation. We can learn from this pattern. |

Large price increase with large volumes is a very bullish sign. However, this is a penny stock with inconsistent volumes. I think this large increase is an indication of manipulation. |

Kingboard Copper Foil, which makes copper foil in China, soared to a 17-month high, after UOBKH said that the stock is trading at cheap valuations. According to UOBKH, KCF is trading at 3.6x its forecast earnings and 0.7x its book value. "This is a huge discount to that of other listed entities within the Kingboard Chemical group and is also unjustified given the KCF's consistent earnings track record," analyst Jonathan Koh said in a client note. Koh recommends that investors "buy" KCF's stock, with a price target of $0.56. |
