Once again when Ah Lim start asking for more money, say at $1.18ct, then maybe can sell at $1.50 liao. one day more n is Friday, there after Feb liao $1.6-$2.00, hope/maybe carry to March liao.

Take note so close to CNY which is on 14-15th Feb n 16th Feb (P/holiday-short trading week)  

Force sell coming. Mon-$1.20, Tues-drop 5ct, Wed-drop 6ct n today force up +4ct, lucky lose less.

The fierce competition awaiting the 2 IRs when they go into full operation.  We leave it to them to compete while we will enjoy the indoor/outdoor entertainments they both could brighten up our dull and monotonous daily life.....

 Alert Admin 		i agree totally!!!The reason they think it is too ex is because GS has not totally open for business!!Casino will ALWAYS make money.. GENTING will be making money at an alarming rate for at least the first three years.Its new people from asia will fly in to see and play.of course their universal studio will make for a few years and most likely when interest wane people will stop going. but it will be interesting for at least five years too.

I think it is too simplistic to just look at a company's loss amount and conclude it is not a buy.  The onus is on each investor to do his/her homework to look into assets, purchases, expenditure eg, construction, labour, revenue (is it increasing each year and don't forget projected one like new casino opening), etc.  What are the main causes for its reported loss for that financial period?   Will it continue bleeding this year?  Let's say Mr Adelson is overly optimistic to project a $1B profit/annum for his MBS investment, how much then would you estimate that GS can make/lose for this year alone?  Don't you think it is anybody's guess?  But it is rather strange that only before its licence issue that you are now seeing more FA issuing low price valuations for GS.  Are they trying to encourage everyone to dump their shares?  If so, why now?  I believe that GS approx $6.5B investment will look like a steal within 5 years of operation.  But that's just my guess.

 Alert Admin 		Just remember that Genting raised most of the funds through institutional and retail investors to build this IR - after singapore govt handed the opportunity to them based on their credential...  it is not everyday a company has an opportunity like that....but it will take 5 yrs at least for the company to recover the full investment.....as long as it is on growth path, its share price will continue to trend up amid correction..

 for 1 cent (yield = 0.96 base on 1.04 SGD) dividend Genting Sp has to fork out 156.5285 million SGD

can Genting SP PAT on 2010 more than 156.5285 million SGD?

 

2008 loss = 124million

9M2009 loss=175 million

2010 loss?

 today at 1.04 worth to invest? consider wisely

I don't think so.  Caveat being more on the overall market sentiment than the conversion price.  .95 is a major barrier as GS wants its cash call to be successful.  For it to be successful, it not only has to not fall  below this price, it will also have to give a margin for investors to convert.  Hence, I think it cannot fall below 1.00 at least for it to look attractive to convert for bond holders.  Believe the market will absorb this shock because of investors' long term confidence in its profitability.  The last cash call ie, its recent rights issue at 0.80 (?), the price did not fall below 1.00 (pls correct me if I am wrong because I know it might actually be more than 1.00).  Use your own judgment as to how low the price can go and make your own buy or sell.  Pls don't listen so much to these FA because when Citi issue its valuation for GS, the price went all the way up from 1.05 to 1.17 or thereabouts within 2 weeks!   Do you know how these big banks make their huge profits lately?  Yes, through trading shares and moving the markets up and down.  Use your common sense here.  The cash call is a good excuse for a sell down, but the nearing issue of the licence is a great reason for a move up!  Who do you think is busy buying now in these down prices?
