im short so i am bias...but to be objective...sti will most likely face strong resistance somewhere around 3033..it is trading sideways for now. risk reward wise..short is better. since it is near at the top of channel. Stop loss could be a little higher than the top of channel.. if you want to play safe just wait who wins...meaning wait which breaks first..upper or lower channel..lol.. dyodd!

A sharp fall in U.S. crude oil futures hit energy stocks, prompted by talk of a release of some U.S. and European strategic oil reserves. Materials shares dropped as well. A weaker-than-expected report on U.S. durable goods orders deflated some of the recent investor optimism over the economy, leading to softness in industrial shares. Analysts also said quarter-end stock buying, which lifted stocks earlier this week and caused a number of top performers to hit new 52-week highs, may be waning. |

Just thinking aloud....personally no cause to worry....wild thoughts only..... Volatile days seem to to be back. But without Greek affecting it this time... China influence plus Euro worries. ......Anyway during Euro crisis period of late, Euro economy was expected to hit low for a while..some say it might impact the world economy.. But USA data...shows improvement over the economy... Singapore export also rises last quarter...sign of things picking up positively... Is it Korean and Japan's nuclear saga recently, the Iran's nuclear threat have some impact on the market coupled with the China slowly down on trade... If China,s being world number 2 economy slows further in the next report...couple with the return Greek issue.... the market in the next quarter could paint quite a bad picture....stock market cannot move forward with all this issue hoovering blossoming overhead...... Some uncertainty seems to have return...gainers may move their accumulated profits on certain counter out.. especially the big boys from fund houses.
