Be careful.. Shorted this yesterday at 8.11 and just managed to recover kopitiam dinner at 8.02. Buying support remains strong for this "oil tanker"! | ||||

Can't compare apple with orange, at this moment. Last yr, crude oil was at 82 USD a day before STI clinged record high of 3875.11 on 11 Oct 07. And then SPC was just 8.00 on the same day, if my recorded data is accurate. Today SPC closed at 8.01 but STI is 3126.30. Did you see the different? However, couples with both Indon and China oil fields' yields and current crude oil price , there must be deviation on the conventional chart. But you will not see too much up trend on this burger under current volatile market. Unless those paid players to stir up the price. But there is no gaurantee that SPC will not cheong surplus the record high of 9.05 in next coy report card leow, provide CO still hovering around 110USD. Mainly AK view loh. You must think trice as well, as money is yours. |

warrants are a form of alternative investments. but personally i try to stay away from them because my experiences from trading warrants has been very bad. (lost my entire investment twice when they expired) I feel that by trading warrants, we are being subjected to BB's market making since they are the ones artificially creating a "market", and hence at their mercy. By trading warrants, we are actually buying volatility, which can easily be replicated by trading on margin. It can in fact be cheaper since you do not need to pay for the "time value", inherent in the price of the warrants, hence i have switched to CFDs since I am able to get the same exposure as warrants.

This burger cash flows non stop since its Indon and China oil fields yield last yr and the surging crude oil prices ax global. It will only reflect the convincing profits in the next report card in Sep this yr. Henceforth, this is a good counter to keep for intermediate term for those who hv less cash. AK view, as I had been with this burger since end 2005. Zurich down hundred over pts and now DJ see marginal red. Must wait till ML report card shown, then the market will be clearer. If you got time , eat potato chips n drinking coca cola to wait till 0045 hrs local time loh. AK view is that, disregarding how DJ perform tonite, SPC price variant would not be large. Give and take lah. |

I wonder if the Petrobas's discovery of new oilfield is beneficial to SPC since mother company Keppel Corp is benefitting from it and surge for 2 consecutive days? SPC surged yesterday but somehow got muted today. Is there something brewing within SPC that prevent its shareprice to surge alongside with KC? Today's activity seems on the surface profit taking. If it's true, why KC or SembMarine is not having the same fate? The only "reason" I can think of is the SPC's SSH has something up in their sleeve and pressing SPC's price down. |

But when there is not much interest in the stock, just buy a few lots first. Once stock starts to move average up in maybe 2-3 steps. Averaging up for each stock is different as every stock has "different personality". After I make my last buy, there is usually signs of "strong uptrend". Maybe some TA people will start to buy and help to push up my price but I don't buy any more. Under currrent market condition, averaging up is a bit tricky so be careful. I also notice some are simply buying too many shares. Don't end up in a situation where you own 7-10 stocks |

livermore,Warrant are too chim for a stupidfool like myself. I just stick with buying and selling mother share. It is true to buy when there is not much interest in the particular counter and i shall bear that in mind.Thanks. |

Buy the warrant or share when there is not much interest. If you always buy a share when the signs are there of a strong uptrend, you have already lost a large chunk of the gains. | ||||

Hi SF, I normally don't bother about stock dividend but this stock is special with 40c dividend per share. So I go for dividend play. Play the warrants with strong dividend and the returns are good just taking positions for 2 weeks. Buy the warrants as the returns are so much more attractive than buying the mother share if you pick the right warrant

Tend to agree with you... some bullish signs are there. The larger than average volumes coupled with price increase is a good sign.

Hi guys, no matter how I turn the chart, drawing trend-line, putting bollinger band, calculate the fibo ratio, I still come to the same conclusion that SPC is edging higher from here. I had also spotted a falling wedge from today's high of 8.15 to low of 7.96, it's bullish sign. Am I sick and suffering from myopia since I am vested...lol? I think I need to take a break, it's too much for me! Have a great evening! Cheers! | ||||

Francis..No lah. I dun do naked short as this will increase my blood pressure. I have shrted KepC using CFD which i can hold this short position as long as i can afford the finance and holding charges. Just felt that KepC has cheong too much within these 2 days and decided to shrt it to test water. Anyway..cheap cheap only 2 lots.

Must see how DJ perform tonite, esp report card for ML. EU now market so so, no stunning figures so far. May be good sign loh. Tomorrow likely is a sell down day as STI already cheong for consecutive 3 days leow. Must rest mah:) If it is the case, then our bear's brothers ready action leow. Viper, you meant you naked short the burger 11.56?? If the players got to know there are a lot of naked shortists, they may hold the price tomorrow and even later of the day push up the price, need not to be a lot. Thats only AK view lah, may not be true. Good luck folks. |
