Lol... Your playing strategy is just the opposite of mine...   I only short at all the juicy-juicy meaty peaks when       all are bullish all over on a stock.           It seems you are shorting after you see it has fallen... lol...  |

CDP is a designated clearing house regulated under the Securities and Futures Act (SFA) and its relevant subsidiary legislation. The CDP clearing rules and delivery versus payment (DVP) rules govern its operations, its admission requirements and the ongoing obligations of its members. |

this is the first time i heard cdp issuing structured warrant???? anyone can quote which warrant(s) issued by cdp??? Just curious why nobody mentioned abt the hedging done by the  banks when issuing the warrants. Will your theory still stands??? Not Vested. |

The structured warrants works like this: There is a strike (aka exercise) price for Bios' warrant, there is an issued number of warrants usually 80 million warrants issued by banks or by cdp. Of course the money if people buy these warrants will go to the issuer, ok?  Usually they are thrown into the markets to players who wants to bet. The betting example is this: You buy 1000 warrants (equivalent to 10 lots imaginary shares of Biosensors if the ratio is 1:1, or equivalent to 5 lots if the ratio is 2:1).  The promised price is the strike price. If Biosensors price go up above the strike price, you get the difference divided by ratio, 1or 2 in the above example. Very marginal profit unless the price of Biosensors shoots up alot.      If CDP is the issuer, it pays you..But by the expiry date, if Biosensors is down, you lose your warrant money, that's all you lost.  In actual fact, there will be every possibility CDP will ensure that the warrants become worthless. So if they are able, it goes beyond saying that they will do it, right.  But they might be gentlemen enough not to do it.  Hope so.

No, no, no  it is the investors betting against the CDP, one example is " ChngK" undertakes to pay you if Biosensors goes up,..check the Biosensors Structured warrants and many others that ChngK issued onto the market for you to bet. Lol..

Bopanha - you guys are nuts. Are you telling me that the Singapore stock market is rigged with the CDP betting against investors?  This doesn't even happen in crooked Malaysia. | ||||

Sifu is right...      When the averages (ie. the indicators) are point fiercely down,         and the TA players are convinced by it and are fiercely selling,                 it will be the time for it to rise instead...This is what " lagging" means...

Not only hard to trade normally, it is impossible to invest your money safely in a wise manner because there is no " wise" criteria nor " safety environment"   for it.   Very simple reason, your investment is bound to get depleted over time, at rates many folds over inflation rates over the years. The causes: (A): Central Depository (CDP-SGX) being your guardian of your investments becomes in competition with your trades. So if only it wants to lose money then you can profit in investing, meaning only when they became very stupid people, otherwise how are you as a stock investor to make money?  So this is hell of an impossibility to happen. (B) Selling of shares not owned by sellers will become too heavy to support in price, as shorting institutions do not short only 10 lots. when they short they short billions or potential billions through borrowing shares from CDP, Brokerage Nominees' accounts, Directors, etc, so who can afford to buy? Most shorting are done by banks and brokerages as they hold the key to control exchange activities via their monetary strength. Furthermore, your accounts are no longer confidential when banks, cdp and authorities are involved since the high tech age can access your information easily. So where do you stand? As iPunter always says, don't play shares and not even invest in shares because you are betting and " the outcome is always unfavorable" . The last paraphrase is added in by myself, lol..Cheers.

Scrip borrowing and CFD are the best facilities in the stock market.     For one, long-term holders get income by 'renting' out their stock holdings,           which may be lying around or rotting away anyway, so it is good for them.           CFD makes it possible to play the market (long or short) with a small outlay...              |

When they introduced CFD..I thought..if short selling is not allowed, but borrowing scrips and allowing short selling..is win /win for stock exchange. Not only Biosensors but many other " favourites" affected by the " players" Very hard to trade " normally" in Singapore

No lah, not that sophisticated. Just try to " phua the BB's kangtow" (meaning reveal their secret  lobangs), to alert everyone to be careful. By doing this I face the risk of they searching for me and attack my positions.  CDP as one of BBs can do it very simply.
