You better go to temple pray for Sarkozy winning the France Presidential Election this weekend.

Polls show Orlande is leading now and if he wins as expected, whatever items that have been agreed between Sarkozy and Merkel earlier will have to be re-negotiated.

My gut feeling, market to crash on next Monday.

Another way to short the market is to trade options (getting puts) and warrants.

CFD has its pros and cons....depends on ur own risk appetite. cfd is one of the most popular ways for shortists to short the market hence u find many shortists using cfd....

To be able to short or borrow scripts, one of the add on regulations is leveraging provided by broking houses. hence some might think shortist are cheapskates. in fact they are the smart ones who can trade both ways.

Those who dont short because of principle or whatever personally reasons will have a disadvantage in trading. its just like only able to know how to use your right hand if you have both hands to use... And for such reasons,  shouldnt be trading, just be an investor. buy and hold.

In this market we must be  fluid, water like, change to whatever strategy that works for you.

Shorties are poor " investors" , they dont have monies to buy up the mkt significantly so they short with CFD -

 

Hmm....I think they are smart investors....using lesser $$$ to make more $$$...higher profit return... smart smart ....Smiley

Stock market 1st/2nd/3rd law of motions ( copyrights reserved )

1)Every stock at rest continues to be at rest, in active motion continues to be in motion, unless there is an external force acts on it ( BBs, results, news etc…) which can change or reverse the current state.

2)The  Force on the stock   = price x volume.

3)For every action done on the stock, there is an equal and opposite reaction, ie, buyer vs seller.

one day in the afternoon eating apple and observing stock market at the same time, discovered the above   3 laws…lol…

Firstly, u can't short without CFD, basically. Dont try to short using normal platform, u will be fine if u dont cover within the same day.

Secondly, short the mkt if u r shorties....not shortie......the difference is if u guess the mkt to short alone, mostly u shoot urself --> very dangerous.   As a shortieS we short as a group or groups.   U get what i mean? The mkt seldom dont move one.

I actually meant huge amount of monies lies with shorting then longing.  

Reasons

1) Shorties are poor " investors" , they dont have monies to buy up the mkt significantly so they short with CFD

2) Shorties work in groups with one goal, to slaughter

3) Fear > > > greed, mkt moves up difficult but crashes easily.   If shorties shoot wrongly in a up mkt also wont lost much but Longies buy up wrongly may find mkt drop too fast to react, so Shorties > > Longies  

So its true money can be made both ways but shorting is much much easier n have more time to enjoy life that all...cheers
