I agree that you can never fully follow what the newspaper says. In fact, most times they are wrong. Especially as the writers are usually people who do not do any trading at all and have absolutely no idea how the market works. Sigh. Such is the quality of our local media. But there is also truth that whenever pennies behave as they have these last few weeks, it means that the bull is out of ideas and there is every likelyhood that the bears are gonna come out fiercely. People, think about it. Companies that are barely covering their operating costs suddenly jumping up by more than 200% ? And it's not just one or two cases. It's like every ultra penny counters taking turns. First was JEL, now it's Addvalue and others ? Question you have to ask yourself is this. Are you smarter than the people manipulating the stocks ? Everybody thinks they are the lions but most of them are lambs. My advice is, when in doubt, best to play safe. Am completely out of the market for now. I think a major correction in the most likely scenario.

I like what the media are always saying.. because the opposite usually happens.. e.g. last week sunday times report about shady side of penny stocks, lol retail investors scared and run... but some penny still chiong lol This week say 20% correction coming.. I betcha some will short like no tomorrow.. lol then we'll see what happens next. My 2c advice: Have your own trading style... see figures .. dont get too emo. |

is the correction correct or not...20% means STI-almost down 600pts within what time frame ? rather see the market as it unfolds than see the newspaper....lol...

In last week, STI merely gain 9 points from the opening of 2982 and close higher at 2991. A white candle sticks with long upper shadow affirms on the profit taking due to uncertainty ahead. btw if for some reason Sarkozy win the election (god must be crazy), then alot of my frenz will unwillingly going for holiday becos THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO LONG HAHAHA .......then i will long blue chips SIA, SIA engrg, Singtel, KepCorp, Noble Grp......cheers | ||||

the whole world knows the impact of France election to Europe n USA, there is no need to guess whether DOW will turn green or not (1 week ago we all know the outcome). If Sarkozy is being pull down, then all the longies can rest for a while n the shorties will have hard days ahead.
