I just want to survive in the markets.... Never want to be richer... and I enjoying myself in trading.... Must start with a reasonable spare capital.... then play small... slow accumulate your capital... dont be greedy....it should hit a reasonable income one day.... The more you do not want to rich...you will be rich..... lol

read sometime back the brokerage houses not making $$ cos competition has driven comm too low.. brokers in the end get squeezed also.. but i suspect sgx also got part to play i think.. BBs will always win no matter what.. too powerful. retailers no fight.. but one can hope la..

agree .. Singapore's com rates is steep. SG style is always cut throat as much as possible til they notice biz dyng then they soften. BBs are given many advantages against retailers that's why retailers first to die.

Can they (the " chngK" ) be more pro-retailers if they still fix our commission at " cut-throat" high rates to prevent us (retailers) from actively trading in and out? How to churn out bigger volumes when we are restricted by high commission and all sorts of fees? The king should please make more efforts and have a more retailer-friendly playing field and don't just stay in the dark ages.

Since playing shares is betting, if one does not " mau " , it will be a waste of time playing... Wasting time and in the end may still lose more than make. Thus, stocks is best only for those who already have money to play... and strictyly NOT for those who need money for their expenses...

What it mean?. The real chng K is telling bankers and Securities houses, relax lahh - don be to hard on retail players. They too are contributing to the economy.

HongKOng is up nearly 1.5% or 310 points. We are waiting for profit taking to complete. " Mau" can only come when there is a sure thing, otherwise you may lose your pants. You need just one good one, eg. like Intraco a few days back at below 50 cents. If you " mau" then when you know the Mr. Oei is buying big, you win big big. But if you were wrong, you will run road. Hahaha.

The real Chng K is recognizing retail play is playing a more important role in retail trading...huat huat to retail players arghh. Some pennt stk on profiting, while some yet to run on rotional paly...Happi Trading. teeth53 thot: Greece G.E. What a joke!! " mau" to earn regular income??!! This is devil advice I think...... Never mau in trading... Even I have all-in for a counter, it only mean one full trade that I set limit on a counter... I can have multiple Full trade..... I never mau but I earn regular income for so many years.... hmmm... | ||||

There was no overwhelming response over here, a merely 7.17 gain in STI ard 0930. The 286.84 salvaged during the last trading day didn't rock the conservative traders here. Hence, " mau " is till not the parrot cry yet. Hope, the situation here improves later of the day. |

Without " mau-ing" , it is rather difficult to make good money from the stock markets. Just fluttering a bit here and there cannot really give you a regular income enough to support your monthly needs. However, playing big can very likely make one loses one's fortune quicker than any other forms of gambling where one is still well aware and conscious of the money in one's pockets, except a minority few who might even lose their taxi fares. In stocks sometimes one can over-lose more than one wants.

i guess need to observe for couple more days.... drop most days in a month and occasionally bounce back is " dead cat bounce" . I think today 2nd half will be interesting... my guess is red...
