Stock betting for just play play is best for retirees who want to pass time.  No big windfalls and no big losses to take. But for most people,  logically what is the point of play play in a small way? There are so many other ways to play play or small betting. To " mau" is to faster die, but not to " mau" is a waste of time. Best logical conclusion is to stay away from stocks.

    It is very easy to become " Pok!" when one plays stocks, regardless of what method is used.

          But at the same time, playing stocks is a very challenging and educational activity...

for any TA indicators, if u have the program in excel u can notice if u just need to put a negative price in a up trend immediately all indicators start to show weakness. so ipunter trying to say it is lagging.

back to ur question: how to play?   simple.....mature stock players dont play during normal time, they play with events like wat i have been citing.   however i believe those TA ppl will never understand wat i meant becos ur play ground is different from us......since u r TA, u play every day every time every hours n u lost most of the time....not that u r no good just becos u get urself wet in many places u got no chances to dry. n the losses start to make u confuse n demoralized.

for us we see as the mkt up down w/o action.....just waiting for the best moment/events, we enter big n out fast. or if opportunity arise in certain stock being too hot n SGX starts to query of unusual activities, we take note n study for signs of weakness, if it exists we wait n wait till strength fade out we strike...i.e. STXOSV, CHINATAISAN etc

so most of the time we wait n wait n if got weakness we study n strike then out n if got second round we strike again till volume fade.

hope this few days mkt chiong n everyone start to lower their guards n let greed take over fear n stay in mkt long long. I really enjoy seeing the thick volume in buying queue, optimism is in the air....love the smell of blood.

Jim Cramer: Beware the 'Giant Rumor Mill' Market



If you ask " Mad Money" host Jim Cramer, it was a number of rumors that caused stocks to rally more than 1 percent across the board Tuesday, wiping out most of the previous day's declines.

 

In Cramer's opinion, the biggest rumor was that the European Central Bank is going to guarantee all deposits in European banks in euros (EUR), which would mean that even if a euro zone country decides to issue its own currency, their deposits would still be denominated in euros. In turn, Cramer said people wouldn't have to worry about losing their savings overnight if they keep their money in a Spanish or Greek bank because the money will be insured either way. ..................

Sifu, I hope you will not anyhow short the market by gut feel alone...

    Always play based on the stock chart. Usually, it is best to short at the

            chart point, but often, after break-out point is also good because many

                  will scramble to cover their earlier short positions there and thus causing

                            a juicy spike... that is the point when most people are " bullish all over" ...  Smiley
