Why labroy will not failed and KK Ng wont let it failed too? 1. Marine industries is a very unique industry and small circle, KK Ng was headhunted to startup or setup the rig building operation at labroy with very well paid reward. If it failed, this showed that KK Ng was not capable enough and this will reflects very badly on KK ng's reputation. He will have a difficult time finding other jobs. Who will hired pple that pulled their legs or job half done? 2. The rig-building operation has kicked started. Inital phase was important, after that more experienced people can be brought in to execute the building operation. Rest is routine business. 3. With 1 & 2, one hypothesis is that in business, it's a risk to rely too much on one man and good practise to have backup team. Labroy has recruited many (40) engineers and probably KK Ng can shake legs and still taking the credit. Labroy will have no future worry that he hold company on ransom. 3. Labroy is not a newbies in marine/shipbuilding industries. It has accumulated many successful experiences and technical know how in this sector. Rig building and ship building might not be so much different as it appears to layman like us. Look good to accumulate, hold long term. |

The spirit in Marine Industry is never say die. Despite how tough or diffcult the project is, marine got one saying " The vessel/ ship will sail " And that how Marine had waited 15 long years for this boom. The management change may not be a bad thing. The fundamental management remain unchange much. I'm not too worry. This stock had been oversold. If you compare with the rest of the Marine Counter. Agreed with Spurs88, once rumours settled, it should moved back to it holding point of 2.3 ~ 2.5 For those vested, patience is the key. I'm vested. |

Its COO denied market talk that he was leaving the firm. In a separate statement, Labroy said Ng will take on "an advisory role" to the chairman on the firm's rig building programme, and that the company is on track for delivering its first rig in the fourth quarter of '08. "We believe the market may have overreacted, as we believe Labroy's business fundamentals remain intact," Goldman Sachs analyst David Ng said in a client note. He maintained a "neutral" rating on Labroy shares with a 12-month tp of $2.75, adding the stock may continue to trade sideways given the execution risk overhang of its first rig project. |
