I must make one thing clear : P/s - dont get me wrong by posting such message about the optimism about this company. This is purely my personal view only. I want to clarify this because i saw posts that said " Forumers try to talk 'good' about this company in order to get people (retailers) to buy the share and in order for the price to be pushed up to its highest level to benefit from it.

Previously I also think this counter is good for short term only, especially those traders like to short pre-opening. However, after the operation of the business, we may need to change our view on this counter. Just my opinion to share.

I do agree that Genting SP is hot and popular in SGX. But I hardly consider Genting SP a good company to invest in. It's good for short-terming trading and that's about all.

When there is no question the general market views that a counter is good, it is always unquestionably a favourite counter, right? |

Cheers to you too. Buy or sell, so long as one makes profits, doesnt matter trading strategy. No hard and fast rules one must sell or must buy or invest.

The traders behaviors unlike the time we saw everyone short for short term profit during the opening of the casino. This time every drop of the share price becomes an opportunity for the traders to accumulate their shares for long term investment. I am waiting a great time to buy at cheap price but in fact, I really feel the chance is slim...

money genenerating companies like banking industry, gaming industry (not only casino, turf club , singapore pools ) offer good bonuses. No reason we shall not be optimistic about money generating companies. p/s - not sure singapore pools pay good bonus but, no reason they dont pay right? |

CFD can be said to be a hedge instrument, and a "standalone" if you play just on it and not just play on it. Hahaha.

Something like a share 'bookie', but it's actually not a share bookie... Then it would be simpler to understand... :) |

sorry catch no ball..haha to simply put it...CFD means you are holding the contract not the actual shares so it does not really affect your holdings in CDP...like options...you are either the underwriter who owns the shares or trader who call or put the options (paper value only)

The difference between cfd and share is in the structure. Simply put, CFD is not the share but the approx price tied to the share. So they are traded and treated as different trades. Notwithstanding, they are tracking each other..., rather the cfd tracks the price of the "mother" share (actually not mother, I think "sister" is better) including any rights/dividends attached to the share. Hope you get. Cheers.

thot of this before...but does it mean that if you buy 10lots by buying via normal way and sell 10lots using cfd, in CDP's eyes, they wont cancel ea other?

When I punt I really "mau"... habit already... But coming back to your style of play, isn't that "LPLP" ? (excuse me for using such 'strong' language) I never play 'hedging' of the same counter. I only do it for differnt counters/sectors. Anyway, CFD and cash account- both are in your own pants, only different pockets, right?... :)
