DJ MARKET TALK: CIMB Lowers Hong Leong Asia Target To S$4.88................. 5/31/2010 11:09:00 AM .................... 0309 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: CIMB cuts Hong Leong Asia (H22.SG) target price to S$4.88 from S$5.78, based on sum-of-parts valuation, after reducing FY10-12 core EPS estimates by 5%-15% to assume lower earnings for China units Xinfei, Yuchai. Says after strong 1Q10 performance, engine sales for Yuchai could slow in coming quarters given China's tightening measures. Notes Xinfei, which makes refrigerators and other electrical appliances, facing increased price competition with rivals expanding production capacity, cutting prices to gain market share. Still, keeps Outperform call. This news may slow down the upside, no wonder not moving much. Uptrend still intact?

From HL Asia chart, i see 3 gaps are formed. A breakaway gap on 11 Jan 2010 ($3) & another breakaway gap on 5 May 2010 then runaway gap at 19 May 2010.

You already mentioned that, it may re bounce to fill the gal at 3.86 (runaway gap).

Am i right to say that, 3.86 is the new resistance, while the $3 as the new support? If this trend close below $3, HL Asia will be on serious downtrend?

If the momemtum is strong enough to push the price up to fill the gap at  $3.86 , then the first round of the rebounce may have to be completed. The long positions must to be closed for it would come down again to fill the gap which would be created during the rebounce

Smiley 419 I only know that if able to break $3.36 next week, uptrend momentum will continue. These 2 days the buying momentum seems starting, 3 times more. Thought if break last 2 days low at 3.05 downtrend will continue. Need to learn more from you. I will take note of the 2 levels closely, $3.60 & $3.86. Smiley 321
