oop, pai seh. no change in direction/pattern, so didn't see need to post. dun wanna hype up expectations or depress ppl unnecessarily. haha. anw, as per my earlier post: think achieva's following its previous pattern. ie, expect some squatting here for some time first, before a final chiong. the way the charts (of a lot of stocks) are going, there's an upward breakout expected; my guess is the catalyst will be the fed cut. has strong support at 18. let's see. still holding onto this one. :) |

ACHIEVA, this is interesting, as it is it has consistently moving between : 16 cts to 18.5 cts. Potential to move upwards, may be waiting for the EAST-WIND. |

Lady Elfie, A bit too long for me to read though, especially after a little bit of drink. I'm not seeing the Black Swan. I am seeing some stars...haha... But I do feel something might be not so right here...as majority of pennies rose this week. Folks, just keep a look out on your portfolio. Maybe its time to balance, reduce or just make some changes to it. |

yeps synnexo, greed is the most difficult to control. i know i have problems with it, which has led to losses. >~< which is why, tuition fees. make the lessons count. my buy px for achieva is sub-20 on average; and to put words to practice, i actually ran a bit already. It's money management: less a qn of belief in the stock, but one's own risk profile: for me, i know i cannot stomach an all-or-nothing, esp in this kind of climate, which is why i chose slight loss instead. still holding on to some tho; an affordable level. so let's see how. Macro trend is what will always affect. on a general view: dow is majorly dropping. bernanke's hand is forced; it's a hung jury, really. my opinion is that he will have to cut rates because he has no choice not to. if not on sept 18, then the severe crash afterward will force his hand. either way, there's going to be one. nothing to do with money, everything to do with politics. Bernanke is a scholar: scholars always bend with the wind in the end. They're not street people who'd 'fight to the death' for their beliefs. aside, everyone always has the belief that "this time, it's different", but guess what? that's what they said in 1929, the 1950s, the internet bubble, the asian financial crisis. And rem, just 3 months back, what was the phrase? "Awash in liquidity". Doesn't that seem laughable now? liquidity's dried up. The theory of the black swan is the phrase that has been whispered in the fund houses and banks for the past month. ie, one doesn't believe in a thing's existence (a black swan) til one sees it. the black swan is here. the unbelievable is happening. Look at the 3 mth dow charts. look at the big picture. we'd be fools to think otherwise. pls be careful, ppl. not just on achieva. remember that in the market, the aim is additional profit. it should not cost you your family, job, relationships, life. one should not go into debt because of the market. Human nature is predictable in one sense: it seldom changes, because people are creatures of habit. Therein lies the key to TA. cheers all, have a good weekend! :) |

Hmmm...a very sensible advice given by Elfie. "note: if you're a sub-20er and have been having sleepless nights, might consider running some at slight/no loss first... might be good to practice some conservation principles since the general market is still quite skittish." But then again, if u have already breakeven, probably u wanna test it for another cent before cashing out. That's human nature - GREED. |

whee hoo! hullo fellow achieva-ers! :) synnexo, have been busy with work, no access to net on some days. *kbkbkbkb* moogee, surf board still ready? don't fall asleep on the watch hor....keke. novicetrader, relax lah....while there's absolutely no guarantee it can hit 30c, it is definitely on the move. To get an idea of its pattern of movement, cf the charts from may 25th all the way to peak ~23rd Jul. in a nutshell: what achieva did then was to ramp up a small bit first (comparative to its sudden run from 14.5 to now), then stagnate for a while, before the real breakout occurs. i suspect it might repeat the same pattern this time around. the reason for the first smaller run up is to provide a platform for the latter run-up to spike up on; since this way, if you're a BB, you can actually buy more lots, albeit at a higher price, by inducing those who bought at 12-14.5 to throw to you at 18-19.5c. Then when happy with the collection, can start the ramp up. Thereby earning more. You see this story all over the SGX, even for blues. It is what accounts for the W formation in price/vol charts (signal for spike up). The volume appears to correlate with what i said. dlimck, can perhaps ignore 5th sept data; if you track queue data, its mostly retail trades only. Plus, T+3 from last friday, hence, traders would sell since the profit is a good ~24%. In dollar perspective: on 100 lots, that's an easy 3 to 3.5k for three days work. usual caveat emptor applies yea. above is wholly my opinion only. charts-wise, this baby is strong. chaikin shows has been on accumulation since 8 aug, despite the crazy 17 aug selldown. MACD (long term) also shows we're out of the woods since 3rd sept. note: if you're a sub-20er and have been having sleepless nights, might consider running some at slight/no loss first... might be good to practice some conservation principles since the general market is still quite skittish. Of course, if you're the what-the-heck type, hang in there for the ride! It's either gonna be achievaaarggh, or achieva ha ha! PS: large lots. it's the large lots one must track in order to see the real direction of movement. PPS: anyone looking at easttech and FJBen? the former hasn't quite started moving yet, while the latter is beginning to. heehee. elfie has been surfing sembmar. wheeee! keke. note: caveat emptor for everything above. NOT an inducement to buy/sell. I'm strictly a retailer and a fellow hay bee. hahahahha. the small elf |

If this week can maintain at 0.19, hitting of 0,2 next week shouldn't be a problem. Any good news coming even better. Those holdings at 0.25 - 0.27 can break even soon including me!!! Let's hope then.... |
