Federal Reserve Board Chairman Ben Bernanke on Tuesday sketched out for members of Congress the weaker economic outlook, and stressed that the central bank is prepared to take further action to try to give the recovery a jolt. In testimony prepared for the Senate Banking Committee as part of his twice-per-year report on Fed monetary policy issues, Bernanke said that the reduction in the unemployment rate in coming months seems likely to be " frustratingly slow." Bernanke urged Congress to move right away to address the looming fiscal cliff, saying it threatened the recovery. He said that the European debt crisis was also a significant threat. " Reflecting its concerns about the slow pace of progress in reducing unemployment and the downside risks to the economic outlook, the FOMC made clear at its June meeting that it is prepared to take further actions as appropriate to promote a stronger economic recovery and sustained improvement in labor market conditions in a context of price stability," Bernanke said.

I for one do not think Ben will do much in an election year.

So not expecting fireworks really...

his report is for today and tomorrow..

so whether got fireworks today or tomorrow is also not clear..

I am not expecting positive data this Q.

Shorted FTSE earlier and when CPI data released, I covered...

dow I am still on the bear camp.. but not sure really... lol

depends on your time frame. if daily chart, still sideways. this is no bull yet. once 20sma cross 50 sma, im expecting it to pull back down below 2700. this might waht risktaker can see. guessing the top is difficult but its a traders choice. as long as using sound money management. we may see it go up to 3080-3100. i will short big again one i see reversal candle in daily or weekly. risk reward wise in daily chart, better reward to short. goodluck! lol

While the market rally from 2800 to 3000, u keep shouting dooms day. Don't u think u already missed a good run?

Whether if there is QE or no QE is not imporant. We are just following the trend.

If mr Ben tonight says no QE, it's ok because we are already in profit, just make less. If he says got QE, even better for us, more profit.

If tomorrow market trend change, we just take our profit and go short. Why over-analyze
