The 'trampoline effect' does not seem to be happening here... If a rebound is beautiful, it will have the 'trampoline effect', which is a nice and swift 'touch and away' bouncy action... Whereas if it still 'hugs' the support line after touching it, like it appears to be now, it may not be a promising buy (for those who have bought there)... Thus, much nail-biting may be experienced... hehehe ...  |

Setting up business in W Australia. Could it be good or not? Seems that after announcing this new venture, price keeps falling from above 50 cents. Raffles is a name associated with all the good things in Singapore. Our icon founder Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, our top schools, Raffles Schools where top teachers abound and top students groomed to be our future leaders. Raffles City the towering highest buidling in the city, etc. etc. Now Raffles Education must keep up this good name and cheong to be a blue chip. Cheers. |

He bought more than 20mil shares this year. I wonder whether is he sitting at a paper loss or gain? Im quite surprised that he isn't buying to support the company like in Feb - May this year especially during the Oriental Century scandal.

Hey, thanks......any beer is good for me.....Never like bandung.....but my wife love it !!! She even managed to find Yeo's Bandung Soya Bean Drink.....not available here...... And the main point, just be very careful with this stock. The CEO should provide a Q&A session online or a nice gathering at some hotel.

This stock is not for a FA play now. When I bought it early this year, it was for FA reasons and I sold in June at 65 cents making good $$$. But something went wrong after July, it nose-dive all the way from its peak at 70cents to current 39cents. There is no reason for this fall since REC didn't release any bad news in this period. The Oriental Century scandal was revealed earlier this year and I saw the stock dive to 25.5 cents (it was dropping from 40cents to 30 cents in the previous 2 weeks). This leads me to conclude that there is something festering in REC and insiders and BB are selling out fast. I might be wrong but something isn't right with the counter. No stock will dip from 70cents to 39 cents in 4 months. Plus their CEO isn't buying shares unlike the March crisis when he buy and buy and buy to support the company. But its an education play. If you believe in the Raffles growth story - expansion into China, India and Australia and its listing of OUC in 2011 - then pls buy. But buy and don't panic. Utilize BAR - Buy And Relax. |

I like Andrew's frank, honest and humble style... I will offer Andrew a Carlesberg or bandung, as he preferes... :) Nail-biting experience is real, for anyone who plays stocks... It is only those who are dishonest who stubbornly refuse to admit that they bite often their nails too... hehehe...

The BB has already made their money, selling at any price is a good profit. There are at least 2 competing BBs....one buy one sell. It has been like this for the past two months. The seller even got time to draw the wall with pattern like 121212.....123123....111111.......3333333.... May be a good stock to play if your timing is right.....I played a few rounds....with good nail biting experience.....buy 52 ....fell to 46 then suddenly shoot up to 54.5....make 2.5cts and biting nails when it fell 6cts.....then buy 44 fall until 39.....then again suddenly shoot up 46.5 ....the next day 48.5......so forth.... Anyway....my advise...don't even think of playing contra....and don't hold too long....was 62 cts in Aug and now is 39......something is wrong somewhere.

RafflesEdu touched the lower border line of the down trend channel at 38.5 cents n rebounded to close at 39.5 cents today . The trend is still very weak while the RSI is at the over-sold territory at 25 . The price would go down further when RSI is rising .

Today's low is .385. But the rebound is not very impressive, since it closed at .395... Those who got in today may be biting their nails... But anyway, whether you buy or sell, you will also be biting your nails... That's why the stock market is such a nasty animal... hehehe... |
