is this a repeat of 2008 market crash? 1997 we had an Asian Financial Crisis. From wiki: Many economists believe that the Asian crisis was created not by market psychology or technology, but by policies that distorted incentives within the lender–borrower relationship. The resulting large quantities of credit that became available generated a highly leveraged economic climate, and pushed up asset prices to an unsustainable level. These asset prices eventually began to collapse, causing individuals and companies to default on debt obligations. now 2011.... are we having the European Financial Crisis?

really.... now still can buy meh? i think we are already took the first step into a bear market..... check out the headlines..... U.S. stocks clobbered Dow off 513 points - Blue chips hit with worst one-day point decline since December 2008and me watching from sidelines seeing our sti at the moment dropping 130 points went around the internet searching when was the last time sti drop so much and this is what i found: 22 jan 2008: The Straits Times Index was the region's second-worst performer, diving a jaw-dropping 187.1 points, or 6.03 per cent, in the frenzied, fear-driven bail-out. The STI has now fallen 15.8 per cent since Jan 1, wiping $62 billion off the value of local shares.
