x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Money is just a word that we are now familiar with.  In the olden days they use barter trading exchanging goods or services in return for goods or services. Subsequently they probably used stones, rubies, gold, silver or metals as a form of " money" before the government of the day began printing money on papers.  The faces and types of money is fast changing. Today we don't physically use money most of the time.  There are credit cards, cash cards, bank transfers and cheques that we use in place of the physical money.  Money is a stored value of goods and services and we are fast losing its physical use.  Salaries and most payments are now credited or debited through banks accounts.  How is it going to be like in future, it is interesting to imagine.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	What I meant is the evil that lurks, and not that the market is evil.  The evil that lurks come mostly in unusual practices such as transaction fees that are applicable to some but not to others, malpractices that you never can imagine possible via technologies programmed positions against small players by larger ones price sensitive insider practices, uncalled for interventions by the powerful, lack of necessary intervention for the public good etc.  In short there is no ruling out of absence in rigging and manipulation of stocks. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Cross country trading in a intermediary exchange is not good because there are added costs.   With today's internet it is not difficult to go direct to an exchange and open an account to trade online thus enjoying cheaper transaction costs.   Taxes are never the main problem because most countries have tax treaties with Singapore.   Why want to add more outside to the inside of Singapore?   Why not take proper care of your own backyard first before trying to water the gardens of others? I don't like this.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	My favorites in MY stocks were High & Low, MRCB, Public Bank, Berjaya, Multipurpose, Kamunting, wow so many. Share market was so active in those days 1990s to 1998. Mahatir dealt a blow to our market then when he started to find some axe to grind with LKY and following his constant whipping of Singapore to no avail, he came up with things like George Soros manipulating market lah, CLOB illegal lah, Singapore bad lah, etc. The last straw was to officially declare CLOB illegal and to stop its trading. I thought then 10 per cent man made tons short selling. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I put more money on outside exchanges because the feeling of fairer play is always in the guts outside. Sgx must first become comfortable for me as having level playing fields and low fees before I want to invest money fully in the shares here.  This feeling is entirely my own, but I think many others think the same.
