ymheng, I am still holding to my lots from IPO. The cum offer is.... if u r holding 5 lots u will get 1 lot offer and for every 20 lots get 3 lots at a price to be determined later but it will be at a discount to market price based on a certain date at CDL's decretion. Shareholders, I think will be receiving the documents soon. U can go to SGX web and click at left hand on companies announcement to get further info. I am also learning and glad to contribute if I know (  very pai seh this my 1st contribution), especially learnt alot from post given by all the experienced ppl here like victorian, rayphua, cashier tan, elf nostradum as well as many others who are really GOOD and like pros. Likewise, those who entertains and make me laugh wif their post....like adrianpang (no offence meant) but actually complimenting u. Thanks to all here and hopes everyone here makes $$$$$.

DBS Vickers has lifted its target price to $1.33 from $1.01 previously as it expects the hotel operator to generate strong earnings in the next three years. CDL Hospitality's net profit should rise from $41.4m last year to $50.5m this year, $63.8m next year and $69.3m in 2008, with the trust's distributable income rising from $26.4m last year to $37.6m this year, $48.1m next year and $51m in 2008. "We maintain out positive outlook for Singapore hotels. CDL Hospitality, with its focus on the corporate segment, is a prime beneficiary of Singapore positioning itself as a MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) hub," DBS said. CDL Hospitality, which has four hotels here, also said unit CDL Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust (CDL H-REIT) had agreed to buy the 455-room Rendezvous Hotel in Auckland, New Zealand, for NZ$113m. DBS said the acquisition will have a positive impact on earnings. "We expect more (acquisitions) to follow, not forgetting the potential asset injection from its sponsor Millennium and Copthorne," it said. |

It was higher, with investors accumulating the Reit sponsored by City Developments Ltd unit Millennium & Copthorne Hotels PLC because of the outlook for the hotel industry here, dealers said. This week the government put up for auction a hotel site in the Mohamed Sultan area here, following the hot contest for a hotel site in Unity Street, which reflects bullish sentiment in the sector, dealers said. "We note that this site was only made available for sale on the reserve list on Aug 15, 2006 and the swift trigger of the reserve site for tender lends support to the positive outlook of the Singapore hotel sector," DBSV said. "The Unity Street site was acquired based on projected yield of 5% on the investment. With our forecast yield of 5.9% for 2007, this justifies a further re-rating of CDL Hospitality's share price," it said. |

DBSV has initiated coverage on the hotel real estate investment trust (REIT) of City Developments unit Millennium and Copthorne Hotels PLC, with a "buy" rating and a 12-month price target of $1.01. "Its initial portfolio is in Singapore, and offers investors direct exposure to the potential growth in RevPAR (revenue per available room) in the Singapore hotel sector over the next few years," DBS said in a client note. "CDL REIT's portfolio also focuses on the corporate segment, which is well positioned to ride on Singapore's aim to become a MICE ( meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions) hub," it added The brokerage is pegging CDL REIT's distribution per unit (DPU) this year at $0.054 and should rise to $0.056 next year and to $0.06 in 2008. DBS said there could be potential upside to its valuations because CDL REIT is expected to boost its assets through acquisitions in the Asia Pacific. |
