x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	as USD and HK$ depreciates more funds will flow into these equities markets.  there are points which stated that malaysians will buy sing stocks once can start inter trade. my thoughts is upsize also limited as sing$ appreciates so much against ringgit and they rather buy their own shares as more volatile means opportunities. the funds already here, so maybe only the rich will buy but these rich rather buy up sing properties

But for Singapore, I usually find I need to hold beyond the T+3 to see profit or not. Usually contra my Sg trade before T+3 so mostly lose money double commissions plus loss will work out to about 1K per counter. Only for those I am confident to hold, they are now recovering losses. Totally agree with you SG market trading is a huge challenge..really will die and kena slaughtered big time without knowing what happened. Want to do fundamental analysis the stocks kaput like Noble and Midas in 2011, want to do TA find resistance and support the next thing you know the high get higher while the cheap get cheaper, worse still trade on news...especially with all the BBs watching those retail investors movements. Just my point of view but as long as there is an active trading market there is always money to be made, only whether it is you or another person out there.

x 1   x 0  Alert Admin	i uses etrade so far okay for me. fees can be as low as $3to $9.99 for us stocks, ppl usually buy options or futures (can be 24hrs trading) aka our warrents or cfd which allows u to long or short the market. can be as low as $1.99 per contract.     now u know why trading in sg sucks. high fixed cost, low volume, stocks controlled by BBs, no flexibility, no volatility plus lousier FA counter as SGX has lots of junks from China and local SME.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	There are many counters and most have gone up, but there is still room for most.  Banks will have a field day because they have a kong to help them clear any mortgages.  I have BP that I bought at $40.00 and MCP at $9.00 and a few others.  Today I am watching SHLD, it went from $46  few days ago to $61 on Wednesday but came down abit on profit taking Thursday.  Tonight it might go beyond the $60.00 again.  My US counters are all in profit. yabbest      ( Date: 14-Sep-2012 16:51) Posted: Bopanha, ok to share what US stocks u in or monitoring? x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Bophana don't mind sharing which broker you use for US$5 brokerage fee. I trade Citi very often on poems but the commission is a total killer. Everytime have to go in 5 digit (pooled with my investment partners) to keep the expense ration to a minimal. Much appreciated.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I think both rich and poor in the US are going to smile.  In Singapore the poor have no Big Ben to give us money so we only depend on the gahmen to say ok one year we will give you a few hundred dollars.  At the end, everyone is happy because everyone esp the old folks have extra to spend.    This is a ploy at vote buying, maybe, but it will really help the global economy after all the crises.  I agree with Tomi that money is going to be flowing into the market and that is why we are seeing the bull now.
