BT thumbed down other local banks but hands up for DBS as it had been quiet for sometime over the past weeks. They say only lah. But this burger not seow one, last yr AK made some beer money for it leh. Now, after the crisis crunch, AK sees bank chow leow. Now, situation could be improved loh. Your choice. | ||

ABN Amro $16 target price on DBS. Market priced close to $20 today on DBS. Who to believe? **************************************************************** 0722 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: ABN Amro downgrades DBS Group (D05.SG) to Sell from Buy; cuts target price to S$16.00 from S$23.00. Broker notes stock has enjoyed good bounce up from its mid-February low of S$16.66, suggests investors now take profits. Says lower Sibor is, "a clear negative for DBS''s net interest margin." Says DBS looks most exposed of Singapore banks to scenario of low Sibor for a protracted period. Broker does not expect loan growth to be strong enough to offset margin pressure, says company''s ability to drive loan growth this year will be dampened by fact it''s relatively capital constrained. Cuts FY08, FY09, FY10 earnings forecasts by 12.1%, 11.8%, 12.2% respectively. Stock last +2.3% at S$19.58. |

BBs will table their respective record cards this week, watch out. Be safe, keep away from the bank's counter, as they had been adjusted in gain quite a substantial amount lately. Hence, should there be any downwards adjustment, they will be wacked hardly. Beware leow loh. Cheers. | ||
