not true...i attend the EW course, the instructer are very professional and patient...i thk you are scare by the $$$ of the course...right???honest..

Wow!  This means that you have been learning TA for almost 2 years already ever since late 2007.  I have read most of your posts but at that times I am just a passive reader only.

TA is good but nothing is 100%

i learnt the very beginning of whatever little TA that i know from a very kind lady in SJ. Subsequently, i started to follow more of the other sifus post and whenever i pick up a word that i do not understand, i just go and research on it. At present, one fellow forummer is giving me extremely valuable pointers on "surfing".

However, the actual learning comes from actual trading and LOSING real money. Slowly, then the losses become smaller and smaller, and then turn colour.

It is ok to attend courses by the experts, but in my own opinion, it is a bit like being spoon-fed. Also, if i were to attend any of these courses, i am sure the lecturer and all the participants will dislike me, because i will have tons of questions to ask.......LOL! In order to benefit from these courses, i think one must read up thoroughly beforehand.

at SGX, they are definitely qualified instructer to teach you...TA is good, but pls ask this question and see how they answer you...i always ask this..

i once ask at a SGX seminar, the suppose expert smile..i said at least 60%..he smile..and there was alot of ppl asking him question, he ignore me...may be i am irritating tio him...

It is possible that people may have mis-understood.

I do not believe that he was calling for a sell. In fact he was calling for a "buy", but at a reasonable support level. People might have mis-understood because they do not bother to read up about the various types of "gaps" and how to trade them.

BTW, i am not vested here, just kaypoh as usual.   :)

yes, timing it right dictate your trade..if you are right, the stock is most like to soar, it will not likely to trigger your loss limit( for my case 8%)..it is likely to go up.

but for mermaid ..becos i am more inot the profit ..so i can allow more room for volitility..

so for exampl today, i suppose to hit my trailing at 10%..last wk high was 1.25 so stop loss is 112..but becos i got profit , so i can have the luxury to increase my loss limit to 15%..so if today mermaid go to 1.06...then i am out..

luckily . it didnt go there...

i still thk u go leran at SGX fr expert there...it is advisable...why take risk??

I think Bintang really is an expert at his own thing--TA. (although he will not admit it)

Just like you are expert at your own thing, eg, getting news from your friends, then whacking bit by bit. You also have a plan, ie if counter stagnant, cut and go somewhere else. If run, keep averaging up.

People who use TA also have their own plan. The trend is their friend. They also have a plan to follow.

The same can be said for prople using FA.

The difference is the READER of the forum. He must understand that he is solely responsible for his own $. People who post can post whatever they like. Readers can choose to read or ignore. However, i do regret that your thread on rumours has gone missing.

since u agree this is a good FA stock, i believe as gd , if not better than SAR..we shd acc . on weakness...afterall, today is a lau sai day for almost all stock..

u call at 1.16..last wk when dow was down,,,so it is naturally to down a few % to 1.11 today..norm....and if tonite dow lau sai again,,,your 1.05 will hit tomolo for sure...so 1.05 support for sure who dont know??...becos we know tech rebound follow 2 days of down...right???

Worry not, they are borrowing in US$ and to put to asia, i guess. Otherwise, there is nowhere to put now, perhaps in gld later on.  I expect asia to boom. Sounds familiar? Well like the Japan Carry Trade some yrs back.

One qn -> why with so much printing of US$ but gld is still not rallying? I read somewhere that one hedge fund is actually unwinding some gold (maybe putting to equity which explains the equity rally as well). This is the first time that gld and us$ have a big gap. Strange?
