Hi Francis, Let me answer your 2 scenarios - When you keep track of a down trend, at certain point of time, the price will reverse. A stock may have a down trend from $1.00 to 30 cents. Then. it rose to 35 cents the next day. Halted for a few days and proceeded to reverse upwards to more than $1.00. It may take days, weeks or months for this to happen. So, when is the Buy signal? This will never happen for me because I always buy stocks with high volumes. As a TA person, I never hold a stock for more than 1 month usually. I will cash out if nothing is happening and put my money somewhere else. Conversely, a Stock may have an uptrend line from the base of 30 cents, all the way up to $1.00 and halted for a few days. Suddenly, it tubled down to 70 cents, halted for a few days and continue to tumble to below 30 cents - may be 20 cents. So, when is the Sell signal? This is where my stop loss rule of 3-5% comes into play. I will immediately cash out. How about your own buying and selling? Care to share? |

What makes you say that? I have posted my buy and sell rules so often in this forum. The reason why I don't post what and when I buy and sell on this forum is because I'm afraid that people would just blindly follow me and that's not healthy. So I just post "uptrend" and "downtrend" comments. I buy when these factors are met - (1) Stock is not overbought (from Williams %R) (2) Acc/Dist and Chaikin are uptrending (3) Volumes are good I sell when these factors are met - (1) Acc/Dist and Chaikin start to downtrend (2) Stock price drops below 3-5% of its previous peak |

As for Singaporegal's view that Biosensors might be downtrending, I respect her view. However, after reading many of her postings, I gather that sometimes she is not sure of herself when reading her charts. I can sense that she is a disipline investor. She knows how to pick a counter to buy and sell. But, she does not know roughly when to buy and when to sell. This means that she could not read from her charts when is the "Buy" signal and when is the "Sell" signal. All she often said are: "This counter is trending "up". OR "This counter is trending "down". I am not an expert in Charting. But, I do look to it as a guide. Hope Singaporegal takes no offence on what I had said. |

Jack James It's nice to see you on-line on a sunny Sunday afternoon. It is true that traders must have "some luck" sometimes. However, to turn "long-term", one has to have deep pockets in order to collect the shares and wait patiently for shares to move up. Of course, people like you, money is not a problem. My view is that Traders's profits are more lucrative that "long-term". The problem lies with the "timing". For me, I am a small player. My trading range is from 10 to 50 lots and only two to four counters at a time. No wonder ZGL once said that his trading style is different from yours. ZGL's style is long-term and he is in the Stock Market for "posterity". He is now earning money for his children. He don't need money for himself. And, so are you. That is why you see his postings are giving out valuable advice to forumers here. I have full respect for him whenever I read his postings. He certainly has a kind "soul". Of course, the REALITY still remains: "Stock Market is Zero Sum game!" No one (including your goodself and ZGL) is going to help others to win money. Much will depend on oneself's experience and skill. Agree? |

When their shares have fallen much, many people have no choice but to turn themselves into long-term investors. |

errr... I changed my trading style from trader to long-term... because i found that trader must have "some lucks" sometimes... as for long term is easier to predict to potential profit... as singaporegal mention, it might be downtrending... |

Jackjames On 28 March, you said: "I will love to go in while it is 0.79 again...." The price then was 0.845 cents. Today (14 April), the price really had tumbled to 0.795. As a Trader, I am unlikely to keep shares for long-term. Nevertheless, I have noted your advice and will take the cue at an appropriate time. Jack James, you really "boleh". I salute you. |

Francis, no problem, you are welcomed.. We are all here to make good money.. expected, Biosensor down to 0.795 ... It might drift between 0.76 - 0.795... If you want to keep for long term, I think you can make your move pretty soon... |

Jackjames Thanks for remembering me and thanks for giving a "hint". You are indeed a friend. I will certainly put it on my screen. I hope your Master, ZGL?s, bold prediction will come true in the near future. I have faith in him. I remember him once told me that the Stock Market is a "Zero Sum" game. And, I remember you in " Min Hua" when it was a subject of M & A. It has since been delisted. Glad to find both of you migrate to SJ from SI. Hope to pick up more tips from you. Thanks again. |

The price movement for Biosensors, the last 3 days has been a pleasant surprise - considering that it has been 'dead' for quite some time. In the process, the stock has covered the bearish gap created between 0.865 and 0.85, during the recent 'crash on 28 feb 2007. Are there some smart insiders buying now ? - the million $ question. We have to follow the technicals for the next few days, to see if this recent surge is genuine. Ideally the stock needs to clear above 0.88 -0.89, preferably to hit 0.94 area. 0.88-0.89 represents its long term moving averages of 100,200 days. If on hitting 0.94 or above, and if it corrects, with the stock not dropping below the 0.88-0.89, then the whole technical pattern will look stronger. On the fundamental front, Aboot labs has announced clinical trial results on the world's first bio-degradable stent on humans, using Biosensors ' proprietary PLA polymer, and the results looks promising - although it will take 4-5 yrs before commercialisation. Biosensors too recently announced clinical trials, showing that its drug eluting stent shows much better healing (ie its stents metal stuts are being endothelised (I may have spelt it wrongly here) much faster than existing prodcuts from Johnson and Boston Scientific, in animal trials. This is important, as right now the DES stents have much lower restenosis rates (5 % or so) compared to bare metal stent, but they healed more slowly, which may be a potential cause of stent thrombosis. In summary, the technical picture looks better - and it needs to go back to the 0.89 - 0.94 area to confirm trend reversal, and hopefully, to indicate that some news flow is coming in, which the mkt is unaware of at the present moment. |

zhuge_liang Wah! Very bold prediction - $0.95 to $1.01. But, very confusing leh. jackjames said he willl love to go in while it is 0.79 cents again because market correction is still "around" and he suggested to "wait". So, between you two, who should I believe. Well, I read many of your postings and I believe you don't talk rubbish one. Therefore, I believe your prediction, of course. The question is, when to go in and at what price? Are you able to give a "hint" to this question? Anyway, thanks for your reply. Anyway, I look forward to |

Francis, Yesterday's surge is a bullish sign. The news is negative. However, small caps are rising and Biosensors is following. So I think it'll go up to between $0.95 to $1.01. |
