DBSV has increased its target price to $1.17 as it expects strong growth potential from its new joint venture, China Northeast Light Alloy Co. "This (joint venture) is a positive development for Midas, as it would allow the group to move into high-end aluminium products that cater to the aerospace, aviation, shipbuilding and petrochemical industries," DBSV told clients in a note. The brokerage cited the joint venture's plans to build a 200,000-ton per annum plant to be completed by the second half of 2008. China Northeast Light Alloy has the potential to generate more than RMB600m in earnings per year by 2009, DBSV said. |
