I think still can. But you are asking me, a super BIG bull, and my answer to you may be biased. However, BBs buy in anticipation of good news. BB normally have access to insider news. I think the good news is really coming this time. |

$1.00? Not today. Yesterday went up to 0.78 and close at 0.755. If today close at 0.76 or below will be abit disappointment for us. |

Cross 100 MA liao. Next is 200 MA at 82 cts. The BB must be quite desperate to accumulate fast. I think it must be related to CE news. Tomorrow is end of October! |

BB want to accumulate cheap and doesn't want this share to breakout above 100 day MA now or else a lot of retail investors following charts will flock in to buy after 100 MA break-out. Like what i said couple of weeks back, after NOBORI there will be a price surge, but may not cross 100MA yet. Wait until CE all 100 & 200 days MA will be crossed convincingly. Just my opinion |

***FOR INTERNAL CIRCULATION ONLY*** In a press release today, Biosensors (BIG) has revealed that one of its major licensees, Terumo Corp, has yielded positive results from its NOBORI I trial which utilises BIG's S-stent platform, biodegradable polymer and anti-restenotic drug, Biolimus A9. Of particular interest is that NOBORI incurred 0% stent thrombosis, indicating that BIG's technology is showing very strong signs of overcoming this present looming medical condition that has reduced the use of DES worldwide. We have iterated in our previous reports that BIG's licensees will play a crucial role in obtaining its CE mark by authenticating its technologies in a positive manner. With these recent announcements during the significant annual TCT conference, we are expectant for a speedier approval for its CE mark. We continue to like BIG for its strong IP protection, recent geographical diversification and cutting edge technologies that are being authenticated by 3rd parties like Xtent and Terumo. Though we are mindful that there will be a revenue guidance revision during 2Q08, BIG remains one of our favourites in the Medical Device sector. Maintain BUY with fair value of S$1.21. TP after CE should be $1.21??? |

Yesterday they announced NOBORI results which they are suppose to announce last week. This trial compares NOBORI (Biomatrix) VS Taxus Liberte (Boston Scientific's best DES). The clinical trial results shows Biomatrix is a more superior DES in all end-point measurements. So this is very good news. The surge is also in anticipation of CE approval as CE will have one less reason to further delay the approval. I think BIG is very near to CE approval now. FED rate cut, sub-prime, etc are systematic factors that affect the whole stock market. Actually have not much impact to BIG's operations but BIG's stock price will be affected as well. |

Is something brewing in Biosensor? Why the sudden uprising? Is it due to CE approval or just a speculation on the FED rate cut? |

Let us revisit my earlier post some time ago. This is guideline using sum-of-parts breakdown of how much Biosensors is truly worth during takeover: 1. IP and patents = US$1.00B 2. Cash and share value of JW,Devax & Xtent = US$0.50B 3. IDE for Biomatrix in Japan= US$0.15m 4. CE for Biomatrix = US$0.40B 5. FDA IDE for Biomatrix = US$0.40B ------------------------------------------- TAKEOVER PRICE: US$2.45B ========================= Biosensors has already item 1,2 and 3 in their pocket. Now pending item 4 and 5. Valuation of item 3, 4 and 5 was a guide provided by LEK Consulting, the top global valuation specialist at M&A for Biomed/Pharma companies. This valuation figure has already been adjusted for recent decline in global DES sales. Item 1 is my personal valuation for all IPs and patents relating to S-stent, Biomatrix and Biomatrix-Freedom and up-coming fully bioabsorbable DES. Item 2 is based on JW's 2008 forecasted earnings of US$25m x PE of 30 times= US$750m (being China growth story). 50% ownership of JW = US$375m worth. Cash during takeover offer time will be around US$70m plus shares in listed licensee Devax and Xtent, which all add up to around US$500m. Full calculation of all outstanding shares (including recent share issue for JW acquisition, share options and warrants) will be 1.189B share. US$2.45B/1.189B shares = US$2.06 per share or $3.15 per share If CE for Biomatrix is approved, technically BIG should be worth US$2.05B for takeover valuation. I believe FDA IDE should be around the corner as well. $1 per share for this company is still cheap. Even without CE this share has been trading above $1 before. If CE is approved and share worth only $1, a bit sian right??? After CE is the moment BIG can really stretch out its wing and fly in global DES market. If you don't need the money yet, can consider to hold until the next trading halt......"FDA IDE". Its a very big thing for BIG also. There are also rumours BIG is planning for NASDAQ listing after CE. Also, serious takeover negotiations may start again after CE approval and we won't know when BIG's key shareholders may just agree to "an offer they cannot refuse" and miss the huge takeover premium jackpot. Just my opinion. |
