Talking about CKTang, and the likes eg. Courts, SPC, Robinsons, these people learned by examples. When you lose, go to the public and when you win or about to win give the spoils to yourself.... When the company has grown very large, why share with the minority? You make decisions without going to them and you can pocket all the money without people questioning you. This is human selfishness and the greed and ungodly nature of man to seize the opportunity presented to them which must not be missed. Should we say plain wickedness or man? We have to accept it as we accept the ways of the beasts. Hahaha.

I not expect SGX to be like Wall Street. SGX can easily be controlled by banks via the backdoor, but Wall Street is too large to be controlled except by the SEC which seems pretty practising fair gaming.

Anyway, Oceanus is a good investmnent even if you an investor does not want the hassle of converting. Of course without converting you can sell immediately when the price is right for you. If you convert, your stocks will be locked up until they complete the process and you get your money credited into your bank and if in the meantime the price spikes, you cannot sell. Nonetheless, all-in, I prefer to convert because there is a big premium and even it does not have premium it is just like any investment I am making. Good luck!

Hi laulan, your postings too cheem, but honestly I agree with what you said. We do have honesty laws here, but they are only meant for open dishonesty and unless proven. Recently I heard on TV interview by US media with LHL and he said we could not really model the US 100 percent, that is if I understood what he meant. So even with US talents running our SGX you must n't expect things to be same with US. Just my HO. Hohoho. |

Although there is a risk in everything we invest in, the overriding factor is the calculation of risk. A calculated risk is always a good thing if it is favourable.

Honestly speaking, if we do have anti-trust laws, you surely know who will be the first to face the music. LOL. Hahaha.

But it didn't? This is sgx which is notoriously the way it has always been. But we have "bite the bullets" for decades resigning to the fact after the fact. We won't have a Goldman charge here for sure, even if there is suspicion felt by us. We do not have the anti-trust here, as you know, we trust the big banks and the biggies to "pro" them to protection extent. The big banks even can trade against the clients without fear of reprisal. Haha, so difficult to deviate from the mainstream, lol!! I mean investors are numb but still not dumb...Hehehe.

If there is nO UNcertainty, Market Makees would rush in to buy the Singapore shares now. In that case, Singapore share PRiCE should RiSE by tOday. |

The PRiCE Averaging Scheme is to Maximise Profit for the Market Maker. Just like IPO is also done in Booking Building to get Highest IPO PRiCE. This is al l EXTRA work but to get Higher Profit or Benefit for the Market Maker. Otherwise, they can just FIX a PRICE and everybody has nO UNcertainty to deal with. If Market Maker makes more, we as Makees would have less. ZERO SUM GAME I dOn't mind to have a little less but not to be caught in loss situation. Like Goldman Sach type of Market Making FRAUD The lOw Singapore share could also be a Manipulated Stunt in order to sell the Conversion Scheme ? ? ? ? Possible ? Probable ? Predictable ? Preventable ?

You need to have a free balance in your CPD acct to apply for the depository receipts. So whatever alloted is deducted from your account. How to reject? Why should they trap you when then can do so by selling down the shares? What data do you rely on to arrive at this suggestion? Curious to see you have this phobia.

If you have a printer, you can save the trouble of making the trip to the underwriters.

Hi friends, just back from leave and glad to know that finally we can apply to covert our shares to TDRs, via the underwriters. All the dates are already in the announcement. Today is the open date for application by shareholders and the application form can be downloaded from Oceanus website or UOBK brokerage site. Alternatively you can go to UOBK to get it. Since 150,000,000 shares would be converted, most sharesholders and warrant holders should stand a chance to convert some of their shares and make something for their investment in Oceanus, thanks to CEO's good gesture. Since the TDR is trading at a good premium to the subjected shares, and Taiwan being a hot market, it is going to be a bonus, I believe. For those who have not got the shares, they can still buy today and apply before the closing date in May. Cheers.

The price-fixing date is not stated in the announcement, but I think it should be closer to the bookbuilding exercise in June. Price in TW need to stay high during that period.
