Global Yellow Pages diversifies into food, buys 16.73% more of Yamada

Global Yellow Pages will issue 82.24 million new shares to Mr Chen. The shares will represent 11.16 per cent of its enlarged share capital - PHOTO: SPH

Global Yellow Pages Limited said on Wednesday that it was diversifying into the food business by buying an additional 16.73 per cent stake in Yamada Green Resources Limited.

Yamada is a major supplier of self-cultivated edible fungi as well as a manufacturer and distributor of processed food products in Fujian, China.

Global Yellow Pages has entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement with Sam Goi Seng Hui and Hydrex International Pte Ltd, which is a special purpose vehicle owned by Mr Goi and Koh Boon Hwee, to buy 8.48 per cent of Yamada for S$11.63 million, based on S$0.275 a share.

Following the share sale, Hydrex will continue to hold a 8.43 per cent stake in Yamada.

Global Yellow Pages (S$0.085) Sam Goi buying stake

Global Yellow Pages is raising $7.6mil from a 99.9mil‐ share placement to Sam Goi (76.7mil shares) and Cluny Capital (23.2mil). The shares are to be issued at 7.61 cents each. Global Yellow Pages will use the proceeds to fund future acquisitions and business expansion, and for its general working capital.

Those who hve followed my suggestion by selling Global Yellow Pages and bought Sembawang Warrants at $2.04 on 13 Aug verses today's price $2.53,made $$$ liao...Global Yellow looks like having cash flow problems

Now that the rights $$$ has been received by company,maybe the mother shares may start creeping up so that the warrants to be listed will be worth the $$$,the warrant given free,exercise price 17cts over 5 years,theoreticaly is worth 4.5cts(21.5 mkt mother share price -17cts exercise price) as its CEO/MD Stanley Tan and major shareholders Hwarthorn Asset Management are supporting the share price
