 Alert Admin 		Prorata loh. A lot is entitled R of 750 share. Your 3 lots will be given 2250 R shares. Once u rcv d entitlement, apply 750 or 1750 or even 2750  excess share to round them up.

True. With Temasek, if the trading price goes below the rights price, Temasek can take up all the unsubscribed rights shares.

Acquisation - remember NOL acquired  a US container group some time back and it almost sink NOL. Luckily, NOL was able to offload it to our neighbour up north. Also, NOL almost bought the German shipping group at the peak of the cycle recently. Luckily, its bids fails. Hope, NOL can go better with acquisation this time.

Note: ships are a depreciating assets unlike property.

The coming acquition done by NOL may further strengthen their position in shipping industry.

DBS was offering the rights issue when US banking sector was in deep deep trouble and most of us worried about nationalization of US bank may directly hit local banks.

Capitaland was totally in debt and in red but with the rights issue , tthe balance sheet turns healthy.

On why , NOL is giving lesser than expected. Probably they did not want to dilute the price further ?  They had enough cofidence to see this thru even with only 15% at current price. If the price shoots up to 2.5 in due time , the discount is 1.2 cheaper than the future price.

Today is correction day so somehow it is not convincing to see anytik and in fact the price may drop so definitely good catch here

I like the dynamics of rights events and especialy it is catalysed by Temasek.

hehe .. they always wrote almost similar stuff ( kepland , capitaland ) , then what happen to the stocks after that , the price soar like almost 40%.

Unless NOL is not as attractive as kepland and capitaland ? If not , why push them at the later stage in these development ? acquistion maybe what they are looking for after the right things. Noted that CR tag stock price usually will soar about 1 dollar more than the pre CR price ( for DBS, Capitaland , kepland ) and these have been proved by historical events. So I am judging this base on this trend and It works very well for me on kepland :) cos in the end my right shares are free of charge after everytik .

Why not sell it Now???

This is purely my personal opinion:

For retail investor, there is still a door to exit but this door will get smaller:

Please forgive me if I am wrong, I only started trading this 2 years 

NAV $2.3 (Presently Trading @
Share:1470 mil

After 3 Rights for every 4
NAV S$1.9 (Estimated)
Share: 2572 mil
Raise $1400 mil

1st Q Lost US$244 mil or S$340 mil
2nd Q ???
3rd Q ???
4th Q ???

If 2nd and 3rdQ report substantial lost, Estimated NAV S$ 1.9 will go down further

We are not substantial share holder, we still have a choice to exit when price is still good. If you ready like NOL very much, why not buy it at a later time. After Rights issue and even better after 2nd Q or 3rd Q. Of course from long term investment point of view, NOL will be an excellent company to invest.  But in business point of view, if you can buy two lots now and with a bit of patience and same amount of money, you might purchase 3 lots or slightly more few months down the road. Of course STI index  is reaching another high level 2400 but is different from previous years STI 2400. STI @ 2400 now with negative GDP and many uncertainties

Above is purely my opinion, I could be wrong. A small encouragement for investors who choose to stay. Recently I pass by ECP and could see a big number cranes are operating at night. This might be a Good Sign

Be careful when investing especially with your hard earn money and CPF. If you made a slight mistake , it will take sometime for you to recover back to the present level and extra time for you to generate a profit. If you make a big mistake, it will take a very long period to recover ....
