It looks like 'falling knife'. People start downloading whether making profit or making losses (some bot 1 or 2 years ago at high price and using this opportunity to off load. Some said there is this group in US 'plunge protection team' to buy at end of intra day to stabslise the market until the US financial reports are finalised. Some said is just short covering. We cant see those 'hidden' hands behind the screen, so, its at risk now to enter the market. I would rather wait for big correction first. |

I've sold away 80% of my portfolio and left over those defensive stocks, I scare and fear that a deep correction going to happen, it could be wrong but I'm scare. I feel that taking profit is not a bad idea as currently we are trading at high index level. |

There are too many uncertainty, especially the US side. And this is not an ordinary recession. As this time round is mainly cause by the wrong investment from the bank which incur so much loses, and the loses are so huge that they need government to assist them. Now they need to find $$ to stay afloat and also to return the $$ back to the government or else in future all the private banks are becoming goverment sector. Jobless may increase, once increase it's going to affect many things, like unable to pay their credit and home loans, which in turn going to affect the bank's balance sheet. People are not going to spend bcos of worrying job might loss, and this is going to affect the retail, suppliers, import and export and so on which are happening now. I'm waiting for another down wave, it may not be as bad as March period as the worse was alr a history unless there is another bad news to come. |
