Lets examine HL Global Enterprises for its penny status. After so many years of downturns, it has nevertheless slowly paid off much of its debts to its big brother China Yuchai International Limited (NYSE: CYD), its 48% stakeholder. With much manipulative business techniques, tactics and ideas, selling assets to pay off debts, HLGE has mentioned that it is expected to turn its equity positive very soon. If this is true, then I would give it another look. As Temasik is also a large shareholder in HLGE, could Temasik engineer some form of positive business generation for the company is anyone's guess, but if a large GIC has got the courage the put money in HLGE, I got a headache to think if it alright to buy some shares in this Hong Leong flagship as the price is quite cheap. Anyone would like to give some comments? |
