this SC Global saga only proves to show : 1. Simon Cheong very influential and powerful 2. Wheelock is no Li Ka Shing. We all respect Li Ka Shing.   Wheelock can buy millions of shares at open market $1.805 - $1.82 per share, director came out to say " $1.80 per share offer by Simon Cheong at a huge discount to RNAV" , and then later sold all their shares at $1.80 per share to accept Simon Cheong's offer.   OH, who can forget Wheelock advisers are GOLDMAN SACHS ? HEHE  What is this ? Playing monopoly game with not real $ ?  |

Wheelock bought an average price of about 1.60 to 1.70... so any offer below $2.00 will be out of the question to make the investment worthwhile.  Moreover, the offer is far below the NAV

1.80 is neither a Santa Claus nor a 'classy' Simon Cheong style gesture. Anything below $2 / Share is not a nice good offer.

Singapore property prices may seem " expensive" . But, to the HK people, it seems relatively " cheaper" as compared to HK.  Singapore and HK, both very similar cities.   Now, put it this way, if you want to own a piece of Orchard Road now, is it easy ?  |

Simon Cheong is well-known to make high price (" high class" ) transactions, right ? It's time for Simon Cheong to show he is a " high class" CEO too : ) with a renewed higher offer bid (" high class bid" ).  Come on' it is Christmas ! : )  |

guess the purpose of such " journalism" may be : inducing or asking the retail investors to 'offload' their shares ? Some investors I know offload their F & N shares @ $8 ++ and they think they got a good deal. When price is $9.60, they realized........what the.....

my take is this :  Simon Cheong was a Ex Investment Banker. He knows the games too well. Before he announced his bid, I trust he had already studied every possible scenarios. So , he knows a takeover bid usually needs to have at least 2 bids to be successful. He knows his 1st bid $1.80 will not be enough. I guess he already has a takeover bid plan consists of: 1s bid $ 1.80   2nd increased bid of ..... $ xxxxx if (in case) 1st bid most likely will not do it.  |

I " gamble" on Wheelock to make a counter - offer @ more than $2 / share . Wheelock should be able to get financing easily from HK or even China funds.

Logic tells us very simply: Look at it this way, Simon Cheong ' s offer $1.80 . Current Price : $1.91 (about 6% premium) We gamble with only 6% PREMIUM. IF lose, we lose 6%. If win, ....well .....you think of the upside %.  |

Agree some analyst cannot be trusted or lack the in depth knowledge.    Got played out once by UOB Kay Hian analyst who said sell for SAT at $2.60 but it went up on the same day and is no trading at 2,96

Rule # 1 : Don't trust too much from the analysis of the media. zhen zhen jia jia, jia jia zhen zhen (haha , conrad raj will not understand this : )  2 : If Simon Cheong is a responsible corporate CEO, he should give a BETTER offer than $1.80 / share with respect to the NAV. Don't tell me SC Global worth $1.80, so he bid $1.80 (then might as well not bid a takeover offer ?) (he must have valued SC Global at more than $2 / share so he thinks he is getting a good deal offer @ $1,80 / share. right ?) 3. Anyone still remembers NATSTEEL saga ?     |
