Any diff betw 1-1 bonus issue & share split?

x 0 x 0 Alert Admin	arggg....hit the wrong key...msg not complete Man Wah has a 1 to 1 bonus share issue? The previous trading price is adjusted immediately to reflect to half. This appears similar to a share 1 to 2 split. So, what is the difference and what benefit does a shareholder have to such bonus issue? Any expert advise?
