After ex-dividend Global Inv(formerly Babcock & Brown) is creeping up again 19.5/20cts.In Jul 09,co concluded agreement to dispose of Paramount Mezzanine for USD 48.1mil and ,this should be able to offset its 1q09 loss of $35mil.Besides it is now debt free and has maid payment of dividends of at 2cts for period ending 30June 09,payable on Aug 20.
In June -July 2008 it was trading btw 55cts -67cts and was listed in 2005 at $1.06,its worst share price was 7cts to 9cts in first quarter of 2009 when STI went into a tailspin.At current price 19-20cts unlikely will lose $$$

This is my personal views for sharing. As usual, with XD, price will tend to be traded down. Wth shortist, the price goes crazy. I think the next 2 to 3 days, the volume will be high with them covering their position. I think the first price resistance will be 0.195 at EMA=20d or 0.20 at SMA=20d. The next resistance is 0.235 on the closed high on 26-Jun-09. If the southern doji formed on 03-Jul-09 is ignored, a bullish engulfing or a bullish harami pattern may be formed tomorrow. |

On 4 June, Co. announced div payout of 2.0c for 1H09......xd on 1 July 09. http://info.sgx.com/webcoranncatth.nsf/VwAttachments/Att_9679B6007C01872F482575CA00815A00/$file/27.1H2009DividendNotice.pdf?openelement Pse note that this 2.0c div comprises of: - 1.4c for 2H08......div was withheld earlier due to financial restructuring - 0.6c for 1H09. Also note the comment that 2H09 div payout quantum will be closer to 1H09....i.e. 0.6c. As such, FY09 div is expected to be about 1.2c......So, at Fri close of 17c, div yield is about 7%. Don't be mislead that 2H09 payout will also be in the region of 2.0c....making a total FY09 div of 4.0c.....23.5% (based on Fri close of 17c)....this is not going to happen. Announcement of 2 July 09 of shortlisting appointment of Strategic Advisor is really a non event. . |

I read the announement with pleasure, this proves that the coy is trying to improve their strategy of operation, after their selection of strategy manager, I think the coy will aim at strategic profit units of business. Price drops after xd is common, added with the market sentiments are not very promising and the coy does not have any physical good news to announce. So may have to wait and see, it is also not wrong if run away in the first place and come back when somthing starts brewing. Just my personal views for sharing. vested and still holding... |

If you are holding 200 lots 1 cent means $2K, to you that is non event, but to many others it is something to think about. If someone out there has news etc, do share here, so that we can make informed decision. If you do not have anything to share, just observe, do not need to show impatience.
