STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors Post Reply Rate topic

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I agreed with sohguanh. If you have already pick up the tab, keep it under your pillow for the time being. Of cos, there may situation where you need $$$. So bo bian, have to cash out at a lost. Hence look at your basket of counters, which are the potential with good fundamental. Hold on to them if you can, and liquidate those speculative one. And Skeleton is true in the sense that in current market situation, you can throw our TA and FA out of window for short term. For long term, look at FA, and pick at discounted rate. I'm still picking some and hope nicky can help me save some $$$.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	The streets are flooded with blood. On closer look, price and index are falling very rapidly but volume traded is paper thin. Very strange and what could this mean? My guess is a very small percentage of people are panic when they see blood and started to throw away their goods at 6 bids down thus causing rapid fall in price. To me this this is a good sign..... and worthwhile holding onto my kantangs which seems to be quite immune to this carnage by now...

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Hi julybabe, if you ask for my views, i will have to tell you i am not a person who really bothers much about TA nor FA but believing more on instinct. I have a basket of counters with average of 15% losses, I strongly believe market is over reacting to the US sub prime problem and also believe that future for asian market is bright especially strong in Singapore....hence, no panic on my part at all I will still hold onto these counters and mean time, waiting for other counters which are in my shopping list to drop to a level which i will then load them up. The moment you put your money into a risky market (like gambling), you must be prepare to loose them all....hence i am not too bother about how far is the fall gonna be or how long it's gonna last (but of course i also wish it can bounce back sooner than later as my primary aim is also to win). My "kachang puteh" point of view

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	julybabe: broker who ask you cut loss still earn commission from you. take a look at your investment strategy. are those stocks losing alot monies to deserve a sell down? if you had paid up all for your shares then keep it. by selling cheap you are only benefitting the bargain hunters. although i am a bargain hunter myself i still say for those of you who bought high, hold if you can else you will be selling at a discount to me. i am small fry earn small discount but imagine those BB they sure earning alot discount buying from you!!! :)

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I think a lot of people are currently "tau gong gong". Unbelievable! Some prices are pressed down by so much! The extent of panic selling is great, and only worsen the whole market. Hopefully it will stablize pretty soon!

Singapore's fundamental still good and have at least a few bright years ahead. But still....."Tau Gong Gong" leh. Mayday Mayday Mayday Maybe just hold onto all my counters and don't bother about them for the next 3 months but just concerntrate on EPL and UEFA Champions League hor....good idea ?

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	hohokit: i tink it is still too soon. the whole fiasco is abt US subprime. the economy of Spore is still intact. the sell down only serve to let me know alot of borrowed monies on stocks in the bull past few months or years? it is time to flush all those ppl out and let the true long term investors scoop up stocks that is worth collecting. once the whole carnage slowly ebb, the STI got more more room to move upwards. MAS intervening is drastic but if say STI drop below 3000 or even drop below 2800 then warning lights shine else I tink let market take it's course better. my 1 cent opinion :O

Would like to inform that hedgefunds from the biggest investment grps have started to dump their equities and move back to the US.. shall not mention names here.. just would like to caution the members here..sell while u still can..
