x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	You can see I already changed   my mind about investing in shares.   Have invested and now on the road to divesting all my holdings.   Lose a little is ok, but hope not too much though it is not within my control as everything is price dependent. This decision is made after much consideration with my wife. Hope newbies entering the market would best to refrain but if not, just buy and hold one or two " good" counters just for long term.   Can make or lose will depend on the business of the counter and good management. Lol.

Sg share market really cannot touch,   if ever exited all positions.   There is an invisible force always aiming for your money.   This force is worst than the devil, very alert and calculative. Sometimes the devil can be a little sympathetic, but not this eviler force. Casino and resort operator Genting Singapore (SGX: G13) rose after releasing its third quarter earnings yesterday evening, putting on 1% to S$1.53. The company saw a 16% year-on-year growth in quarterly revenue to S$777m as its profits jumped by two-thirds to S$223m. Genting commented that ?both the gaming and non-gaming business segments performed better? in its flagship business in Singapore Resorts World Sentosa. The company also mentioned that it is ?monitor[ing] with great interest the legislative passage of the Integrated Resort Execution Law in Japan? as it seeks to expand in the gaming, leisure/entertainment and hospitality sectors in the Asian region.

Trade receivables crossed S$1bn for the first time and we estimate that S$473m in bad debt has been provided for since operations began. About S$50.2m was provided for in 3Q13 vs. S$31.9m in 2Q13 and S$32m in 3Q12. Stagnant in mass Mass GGR was S$409m, down 15% yoy and 10% qoq. Market share for Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) dropped to 44% from 49% in 3Q12. A 550-room new hotel in the Jurong Lake District will be a key catalyst for RWS as it will cater to tour groups which should help drive yields on its gaming assets during off-peak hours. Pricing in Japan We believe based on our assumptions that the share price is factoring in a potential 50% stake for GENS in a US$10bn IR project in Japan with a ROCE of 15% valued at 12x EV/EBITDA. This works out to S$0.37/share in RNAV. We believe this represents much of the option value given that we are still very early in the timeline. Genting Singapore's Resorts World Sentosa and Las Vegas Sands' Marina Bay Sands are the world's most profitable casinos, though tougher rules on gambling activities in Singapore and tepid growth in business from Chinese high-rollers are weighing on business.
