Im in NAVB, MPET, DYNT which is risky, im monitoring TGX & QTM I have no insider news just purely analyse myself and go, started May this year so far US good, SING ok only la, same as your position. For longs i go by local broker save hassles, otherwise i go by E trades and interactive share     Bopanha  Veteran Posted: 14-Sep-2012 16:02   x 0    x 0 Hi tea44, I play US with Charts, but my charts may not work very well in Sg.  My comm from US brokers direct, is only $5 per trade, so I go for heavy weight that usually rises or falls 30 cents to $1 type and playing in today out tomorrow for smaller caps. 2way trade only US$10. But for Singapore, I usually find I need to hold beyond the T+3 to see profit or not. Usually contra my Sg trade before T+3 so mostly lose money double commissions plus loss will work out to about 1K per counter. Only for those I am confident to hold, they are now recovering losses. Very hard to play Sg stocks to make good money unless you hold longer on the right counters.

That's why we need to profit on days like today from Mr Market to make up for the ridiculous inflation rates. On the other hand it is a political move especially with the US presidential elections in Nov-12 to help lower the 8% unemployment rate. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	The reason for USD weakening can be attributed to QE3.   The FED will throw out money to the market at a rate of $40 billion a month.   This is going to boost liquidity all over the world. A little falling of the dollar won't really matter, and it might even correct the perception that China is deliberately undervaluing the Yuan.   The action of the FED might push the Yuan up some notches, but I think generally the global economies will benefit. Just watch US$40 billion adding to liquidity every month flowing to the market.   Extend out your hands, you can surely grab some dollars. But after they test test abit, realize no matter how much they print market still buy their bonds, they bo chap liao. Plus you have politics  also. The US doesn t really give a shit as long as they stay alive. I can tell you they re really a bunch of idiots who have no more ideas what else to do so just print money lor.
