Heidi Montag made her entrance into the modeling world when she walked the runway and posed in an ad campaign for her clothing line, Heidiwood. If the forces above are kind enough, may that be the beginning and end of her career there, as we really don't want to see anymore of the superficial famewhore slash former The Hills castmember.

Rome was not built in a day, and we took several years too to reach this figure of 5.18 million people. During the building of Rome, the Romans kidnapped the Sabine virgins, raped and made them bear children for Roman Empire under Romulus.  We can't resort to this way, and so we use foreign talents to bear children for future generations. Poor Singaporeans, seems mostly have no mood for sex.

Singapore now has 5.18 million people SINGAPORE According to the Department of Statistics, which released its annual Population Trends report yesterday, the total population grew by 2.1 per cent, with the number of Singapore citizens growing by 0.8 per cent. The number of non-resident foreigners grew by 6.9 per cent. As at the end of June, there were 3.79 million Singapore residents and 1.39 million non-resident foreigners. Of the Singapore residents, 3.26 million were Singapore citizens and the rest were PRs. The ethnic composition remained unchanged compared to last year: The Chinese formed the majority at 74 per cent of the resident population, followed by the Malays with 13 per cent, and Indians with 9.2 per cent. Reflecting the ageing population, the median age of the resident population rose from 37.4 last year to 38.  [#### meaningless stAtIstIcs ####] With a growing proportion of Singapore residents aged 45 and over, the ratio of working-age residents to elderly residents dropped. [#### dUe tO  lAck Of  dEcEnt-pAying jObs ####] There were 7.9 residents aged between 15 and 64 for each resident aged 65 and over, a decline from 8.2 last year.  [rUbbIsh  stAtIstIcs  ? ? ? ?] According to the report, the number of marriages registered fell for the first time last year since 2003. We are what we eat Faith Leong Siang Nuan Is there something wrong with people’s health today?
The writer is a PhD holder in biblical studies. There is a sense that cancer is striking more at a younger age, and the Ministry of Health has disclosed that two in five Singaporeans aged 20 and above have diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol, as reported in “Masterplan to leverage on the general practitioner community” (Sept 21). Former Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan blogged in January: “Our key mission is to keep Singaporeans well and healthy.  That is why we call ourselves the Health Ministry not the Sickness Ministry.” Prevention may be the answer to shortages in hospital beds and healthcare providers. As the majority of the population eats out, it may be necessary to keep track of what is dished out by the many local and foreign food vendors. This involves checking the ingredients used as well as the food preparation and storage. No doubt, hawker stalls are categorised into A, B, C or D grades, but these measure only “the overall hygiene, cleanliness and housekeeping standards” of retail food premises, according to the National Environment Agency website. Food toxicity can remain undetected. Our diet consists primarily of mass-produced crops and processed food, which are inevitably tainted by growth hormones, fertilisers, pesticides, preservatives and additives. Yet, it is often observed in food courts that vegetables are taken straight from the shopping bag to the chopping board. Daily consumption of even allowable standards of such chemicals could be adverse to health. In some instances, pails are used to store food. Are vendors aware of the different grades of plastics suitable for food storage? Bisphenol A or phthalate seepage from containers can cause hormonal changes and affect sperm count. Could our declining birth rate be aggravated by unwelcome chemicals in our diet? These issues are complex and need to be investigated through social and scientific research. Even the United States Food and Drug Administration’s standards are not infallible: Certain plastics once deemed safe to make milk bottles are now said to be harmful. Food toxicity is becoming a worldwide issue. I commend the investment of research resources in public health, reported in “Data to be collected to improve healthcare” (Sept 20). Professor Saw Swee Hock’s philanthropic contribution of S$30 million to a School of Public Health at the National University of Singapore reflects a sense of urgency. Polytechnics can offer related courses. More feared than acute sickness are the silent killers (chronic diseases), which could be due to food toxicity gone unnoticed. If we are what we eat, if as a nation we are not that healthy, then the foremost attention must be on the food set on public tables. |

Wah.... the post distort again..... sianzzz........ sorry everyone..   HAHAHA ... i am more afraid of this than the property price..... what goes up will come down..... 'Mutant' dogs to spawn from hundreds of feral pups still living in Fukushima no-entry zone, suggest officials   It resembles the plot line of a cheesy horror flick, but the idea that a new generation of vicious " mutant" dogs will one day spawn from puppies still living in and around the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster zone is something that Japanese officials are taking very seriously. According to a recent report in The Seattle Times (ST), efforts aimed at capturing the hundreds of wild dogs still living in the Fukushima no-entry zone are failing, and many of the dogs are growing ever more wild as they freely scour the human-less fallout zone. " If these puppies become parents, their offspring will be wild dogs with no experience with people," a government official is quoted as saying to ST. " We want to catch these puppies before they grow up." But most capturing efforts initiated thus far have been unsuccessful, as the " dead zone" dogs still living are becoming increasingly more estranged and savage. Though the Japanese government had successfully captured several hundred dogs in the months immediately following the Fukushima disaster, more-recent efforts to locate and apprehend remaining dogs have been fruitless. For unknown reasons, the remaining wild dogs are not responding to the food-baited cage traps that they once did, which has left authorities scratching their heads as to what to do next. The dogs, many of which would have formerly responded to human petition, have now apparently transformed into beasts of a different variety. " The dogs have gone wild," added Kunitoshi Baba, a 63-year-old veterinarian from Kawasaki, who has been helping the local government try to capture the loose canines. " If infected dogs go outside the zone and attack people, disease could spread," he added, noting that many of the loose dogs apprehended thus far are infected with various diseases. Back in June, we posted a video clip to NaturalNews.TV that shows what appears to be an earless bunny rabbit allegedly born this way as a result of exposure to nuclear radiation from the crippled Fukushima plant. The mutation, if a legitimate result of nuclear fallout, may have been an early prelude of worse things to come. hahaha.... worse i think will be like " I Am Legend" Cheer |

Also it is important to note that China property is 70 years lease-hold only. Due to this, the demand will always be there.  In Southern Johor most property are free-hold and buying a house there means you can pass down the property for more than 2 generations. The land is yours forever to keep if you buy landed property and not condo apartment. My grandfather house is already passed down for 4 generations. In short, without foreign ownership (or speculation), demand will be as high. If you go to KL, you can see all the rich Arabs now buying up a lot of bungalows there.

The policy limit to 1 house per foreigner earlier and now there are measures put in place to restrict foreign ownership in certain cities after the housing prices continue to escalate. This is what I was told by my friend in China.  He is now married with a China wife.  :p

Foreigners are not allowed to buy China properties AFAIK, their housing demand is generated domestically. There is a big difference between there and Iskandar Region. There will be a considerable amount of profit taxes if you want to dispose off your properties in Malaysia if you are investing as a foreigner thru the Malaysia My 2nd home program.  And when all the foreigners decided to cash in at the same time, you will be caught off guard big time in my opinion.  It will be good that if you are buying property there for retirement purpose or for a weekend get-away stay and not for speculative purpose in my opinion.  By the way, I am born in Malaysia. :p

Attention !!!!!! Is  3rd  casino in the making??      Do you want 3rd casino?? ---------------------------------------------------------- Steve Wynn keen to open casino hotel in Singapore-reportSINGAPORE | SINGAPORE Jun 20 (Reuters) - Casino gaming tycoon Steve Wynn, who controls Wynn Resort and Wynn Macau , is keen to build a property in Singapore, where two one-year-old casino-resorts look set to surpass the Las Vegas Strip in gaming revenues this year, the Business Times reported. " I'm dying to go to Singapore," Wynn told Singapore's Business Times in an interview. " That's my next goal in life -- to build a hotel in Singapore." Such a hotel would need the ancillary income of a casino to justify the investment, he added. Singapore legalised casino gaming in 2005 in a bid to double visitor arrivals by 2015. Genting Singapore's Resorts World at Sentosa opened in February last year, while Las Vegas Sands' Marina Bay Sands started operations in April. Wynn will have to wait till March 2017 to open a property in the Southeast Asian city as Singapore has granted the two incumbents exclusivity for the period. (Reporting by Kevin Lim) |
