I believe you 100%. The last time I bought Capitaland was in 1995 and that time was known as DBS Land or Pidemco Land. I bought at 1.80 and sold at 8.00 in mid 2007. I will keep this shares long long.

To practise Buddhism...you just simply avoid evil, do goods, and purified your mind, ,,,the teaching of the Lord Buddha....very simple right???..actually, you dont need to go Tibet climb up mountain and read all the 3 baskets of Buddha teaching...even in Buddha 's time...a low IQ farmer got enlighten.... so...are u enlighten now???

OMG,imagine one has to do so,so many things just to 'play" the sharemarket.Wat download TA,read TA,then master this and that. Sometimes ppl like to make the sharemkt sounds like it is so,so technical and so frightening place.Oni a sharebroker or a book salesman will advocate such thoughts. |

wow i see this thread gaining momentum.. i just want to say this.. in life there's ups and downs, there's happiness and despair.. most important is you learn from ur mistakes and don't repeat them.. success is a methodical process ...so is failure.. if u keep repeating the same thing, and fail then u are doing it wrongly likewise for success.. if u keep repeating it and it works for u.. just go with it and don't give up.. |

Thinkfirst........i think i got a stock in mind that is a multi bagger,,,but you shd not be worry if say there will be another new low...because this one is very difficult to go bankrupt...in the worse situation.. but today it is a bit expensive at 3.89...wait awhile,,,i believe correction is on the way...you can buy at ard 3.0 or lower ..will be nice....i see this one at $13..or more..when the world economy is up and running again..in few year time..when crises is over.. CAPITALAND...anyone any suggestion..

u are wise...my uncle told me not to look at mid cap and blue chip....but i just cant...there are $$$ to make here....just be alert and not too greedy will save you from trouble.. alway buy blues...why? they are more transparent with their balance sheet..and they are too big to fail..but they can fail..but that is very unlikely...cna u imagine SMRT and Capitaland and SIA go bankrupt...what chances?...compare to Ezra or say tiong woon... my uncle told me he dont even bother to read abt them ( mid cap and penny). if you want peace buy blues, if you are not scare of been penniless, then buy penny...but make sure when the music stop, u are standing on blues...ok...gd luck

Hi Thinkfirst, No one can really advice u which share is cheap n steady (unless tat person has divine powers, so dun trust them) as trading is a very personal decision depending on your strategy (short, mid or long-term), risk tolerance, my advice is set your stop-loss n if hit, dun hesitate to cut-loss and move on, and dun regret if it later goes up bcos wat if u dun cut n it keeps going down. If u r newbie to trading, below is my advice (whether to listen or not is up to u). To succeed in trading, my sincere n genuine advice to newbies: "Learn to master TA n u are the master of your own trades." - Learn how to spot reversal signs in candlestick charts for entry n exit "Learn how to fish n u can fend for yourself forever, relying on others n forever u r dependent on others n at their mercy" "There is no easy way n short-cut to success in life, including trading, all are own hardwork, u need to learn the tools of the trade" Depending on your inclinations and whether u seriously want to learn TA, I had created 3 threads dedicated to newbies under "General", "Trading Techniques": 1. "Learning TA" - websites where u can learn TA for free but of course, TA is not infallible, thus need to set stop-loss) 2. "Some recommended good Trading and TA books" - of course u can also buy TA books. Read as many TA books and money management books, it will definitely stand u in good stead. 3. "Advices to newbies" particular the 3 golden mantras. Take your time to read and learn, dun rush, remember "Rome was not built in one day" I self-learnt, see how analysts do it and practice by covering up the candles and test my knowledge and hone my skills till I m quite confident b4 start trading bcos the mkt is merciless. Those TA courses, wat they teach, all are from books, nothing new. For those paid software, even after the software scan, still need our analysis, cannot assume it is 100% correct, as nothing can replace the human brain and knowledge as analysis is an art of how individual interpret, no matter how much they input all the scientific knowledge into the software If u are not sure, post your charts n hopefully some forumers good in TA will exchange pointers with u. To know how to post, follow the steps on how to post charts in "General", "Trading Techniques", "Learning TA".

smartrader...i hope u dont mind, but to let your portfolio varry 200k is certainly not smart.... do you have stop loss or trailing stop??? my trade on SAR alone is the most profitable...260 lots..acc obvertime....sold 208 to 213...but most of them 213.. and it was 208 that hit my trailing stop...so sold all ..but i immediatelly put the $ on mermaid and tion woon and li heng... must have trailing stop..and cut early...you shd have make even more if u have sold at trsailing stop or cut loss and buy later cheaper....jmo

How much you have in your portfolio? I believe the fluctuation of 200K is certainly possible with a total portfolio of 500K-700K under the current market from Jan - now.

No matter which camps you are in - you can lose or win. I advocate long term investing but with a bit of trading for coffee money. | ||||
