Well, whether to hold or sell the rights is entirely up to you... because I can't tell whether the share price will go up or down (and thus the rights)... Playing thes tock market is all risk.. you take the risk... simple as that...

330 K spent to bring down the price of NOL to 1.51 . Versus "cheap buy of rights(1.5 billion) at the later stage". Smart way of doing things.. if they do that for 7 days, it is just 2.1 million to them but the return to them is 10 times more... haha ... They win !! haha... TH will come to the rescue? |

Hi Shweli I saw in my CDP Statement NOL R amount 750. 1) I don't want to hold. I want to sell. If I sell, I have to pay S$1.3 per share (NO) or just sell at merket value (0.200 x 750) and take the money? (YES) 2) What is nil-paid Rights? You were entitled shareholder to 1000 shares and thus they gave you 750 rights. the ones in your CDP is called nil-paid rights as you have not paid yet. You can sell your rights in the market, before 2 July, or pay 1.3 before 8 July and they will issue you 750 new shares. |

Low volume sell down? will the shortist do the tricks again ? I doubt TH will allow cheap sale or underwritting the 1.5 billion worh of rights. |

I don't think I'm in a position to suggest getting or selling it off. I can be honest with you and tell you I was 'caught out' at a relatively high price so I'm surely getting the rights to average out my overall cost. However, I'm also one who can wait months to sell off a batch of holdings so I'm in no hurry to get rid of my holdings until I make a profit from it. The best suggestion I can give is to make a judgement call by yourself rather than trying to follow what people say because like I mentioned, there are people with mixed intentions who might be trying to make things work out the way they hope to be. That said, some people do give good advice and tt's good to listen to what people say and review their facts and beliefs and compare them to your own. |

Here are my personal views and I'm open to learn from you all: One obvious scenario is that the people who have rights will want to keep the price high and higher, whereas those who doesn't, want to keep pushing it towards the rights offer price. In another case, there might be those who wants to push the price even further to pick up cheap bargain before pushing it up again. I think we should all be reminded that the company has already clarified that part of the money gained from rights is to repay debts to 'near zeo' levels, meaning that the balance sheet is likely to be healthy, even with relatively bad business. In addition, Temasek supported the move and will take up whatever excess rights that isn't subscribed so one might want to give this a thought as well when thinking about the future direction of movement. Furthermore, if things were as bad as people make it out to be, unless the whole world's economy gets even worse, the only way for it to go is up. I agree that contra trading during this period is going to be very risky due to mixed intentions from just about everyone, but if one has the holding power (and probably still holding on to rights entitled ones), isn't it just a matter of waiting out this period? |

Hi des_kor, what u mean by taking profit on rights? I holding 1000 shares, so only entitled 750..u mean to sell off my 750? or should I buy these 750 rights at 1.3? what is your view? should I hold on? feel like this counter is going to head south....

It is entirely possible for the rights to go to zero... That's if the shares drop to 1.30, then people can just buy the shares outright without the bother. It has happened to other shares recently, so it's not that far fetched a thought...

NOL price valued at 1.55 unexpectedly .. haha .. think some shortist purposedly wanted to crush down the NOL price and made the rights worthless and then buy them in bulk when no one wanted to buy ... TMR they will suffer .. haha ... when NOL hit 1.6 tmr .. they will cry .. Never learn from lesson .. |
