It is best to do what you know best! Marine & Oil is also a booming industry, so Aztech is also eying....maybe......and not forgetting about Tourist Medical industry. A Company that is unable to stay focus will soon fall under its own weight - Creative is a very good example! Cheers! |

Aztech without the construction and property moves is already a profitable company. With this new plan, it is definitely a plus to the shareholders. |

Another company jumps on the property and construction bandwagon.... So what value add can Aztech bring? How will Aztech offer a competitive edge versus other suppliers of constructions materials? What will it mean in the current context of high prices for construction commodities amidst the construction boom? Unless Aztech has figured out how to really get into the business fast while the construction sector is at its peak, and thereafter figure out what to do with this diversification when the flurry of construction activities ceases say by 2010, I will view this development with some caution. |

Of course, HL Asia has got very good connections. Maybe Aztech's current Customers are also in the Construction related businesses! I just couldn't see anything enterprising about such a move. Now just hope that the Financial Reports on 5FEB will be good so that I could at least get out. Instead of shares buy-back, Aztech should have return the excess funds to Investors before announcing that they're going into this line. Simply taking SHareholders as suckers! Cheers! |

mike8057d, Nothing new.....except that FY07 results announcement expected on 5 Feb 08.....2 days before CNY. As he is from Hong Kong, and most HKies are 'pangtang', perhaps its an indication that he bears good news???? Not too excited about the announcement about his new venture of building materials business.......no details on his business plans, where he expects to get the expertise; how is he going to source material and market it; what is expected turnover; how is the new business going to be funded.........all these are questions but no answers. |

Cheongwee.....I believe you, becoz I was stuck with CapLand for quite a long time........before I cashed out at 6.50, and it went to 8+......no problem, as I was already happy with the gain. |

If thios round is really serious i suggest we wait and buy all property stock when it go down and when u see the px is restless..and stay vested there..property the very first to run after a recession..they run the fsatest.. |

I meant CapLand......bought DBS Land (previously known as) at 4.60...and it dropped to 1.70 or even lower I think. Balls also gone........hahahahaha. Do you think CapLand will drop to this level again? $4 or $2? |

I think Aztech is deviating from its core business. ITs core business is in Telecommunications, OEM business. I dont find it prudent for the management to move into this new construction venture. It is best that they spin off a subsidiary to move into the Property and construction business. Resources like finance and manpower will be re-channeled to the new business which may take years before it contributes to the bottom line. My personal take on the construction business has plateau and after the IR, Circle Line, Newater plan there isnt much to harp upon for the construction business. I have always believe it is always better to find new markets to expand its core business for its existing products. Focus on what you do best is important. Time to reconsider the new business proposal and reassess the company after 5th Feb when it announces its whole year financial results. |
