Aug 2013

==========

ocoa prices entered bull-market territory Thursday as traders bet on higher prices, amid dry weather in the world's two biggest growers that has cast doubt over the size of next season's crop.

Cocoa traded on the ICE Futures U.S. exchange settled more than 20% higher from the March 6 low, which defines a bull market. The contract for September delivery rose 1% Thursday to $2,466 a metric ton, the highest settlement for the most-actively traded contract since Dec. 3.

" I think it's just ongoing concerns about quality and quantity," said Chris Narayanan, head of agricultural commodities research at Société Générale.
