UBS Securities - SATS' share price has faired poorly so far this year over fears of food inflation. While a 5% increase in food inflation could potentially erode earnings by 9%, we expect the company to be able to pass on most of it to customers, albeit with a lag. At 13.8x one-year forward earnings, a dividend yield of 5.3%, and a strong balance sheet makes this an attractive stock in this environment, in our view...

x 0 		there is shortist shorting the prices and also its helped by the news their japanese branch which is just starting and is now losing money fast like draino.  No one wants to go japan at the moment which makes it worst

Summary:  SATS Ltd (SATS) has witnessed a 9% decline in share price since the release of its 3Q11 results, weighed down by concerns over food price inflation and the threat of a third ground handler. We believe that these risks have been adequately priced in with the stock trading close to its 52-week low. Investors appear to have overlooked SATS’ investment merits, which include positive earnings growth (driven by aviation demand recovery and Singapore’s robust tourism landscape) and a healthy 5.5% dividend yield. While we acknowledge near term risks arising from higher operating costs and stiffening competition, SATS’ pass-through cost structures should alleviate food inflation concerns in the medium term. Furthermore, the market has priced in the threat of a third ground handler, and an official announcement could possibly lift the share price overhang, especially if the license pertains to a specific segment of services rather than the entire suite of ground handling services. We maintain our  BUYrating on SATS and revise our fair value estimate to S$2.87 (previously S$3.31).

x 1 		On monday it has form a postive doji and today follow by a promising hammer after scary continious 10% fall this indicate an immediate rebound is on its way. The mass selldown was probably funds shifting away to another market like US or somewhere in the west. However, I do think it is good to sell on strenght upon its rebound (what price I have no idea)

x 0 		For twice, this stock had trying to test below 2.6 but failed. i think they may succeed third time. yesterday trade, someone dump 114 lots @ 2.60. trying to create the fear factor in this stock, hope he had bought back. Well, he may be right to short it down. You will never know will others follow.

x 0 		i feel it is just the fund managers shifting funds around gaining some quick cash and now are back speculating. not just blue chips but all playable avenues.

i think to reach that price range is hard. It would be 2009 prices which in my view is impossible even their contract prices have risen to cover their costings. Inflation rate alone is at 10%. Likely low price it can go will be 2.55 but i think they will be rebounding to 2.7 soon this price adjustment is only due to their acquisition of their japanese holdings which is running red now. Increase of assets can't be bad and can't decrease their share price. But what do i know i'm just guessing.
