Despite being a wonderful stock to play, I got off at peak and not going to look at this until rights issue is announced.

good eye sight, if you see the commentary by skully the Shrek , he spotted the revaluation, yes it is all good report analysis, the market, the dealer also know but a different rule - it is poker...if you play with BB, you play using poker rule, if you play with aunty you play using fun-the-mental. the behaviour is so drastically different, so one need to enter the market with awareness of different type of game being played here.

hehe..0.47 is not the price to sell yet, it will continue to rally another day tomorrow, the Rights issue is only a cheap option to be operational comfortable, bond and loans are not so good at the moment, but the company does not really need the cash, it maybe seeing Capitaland raise rights and oso follow. There will be 50 cents to come, tomorrow maybe more as it may continue to rally up to tomorrow lunch and take a breath before another run....just saw the Ah Pek's crystal ball in the kopitiam...DOYHW&DD

Q3 was good, expecting Q4 /FY2009 same or better as this industry is very stable. My hunch is 6.5 - 7.0 cents fair value,

One can make assumption that 0.807 is what the company worth since PTT must have done their due dilligence before making the offer, why the market think it is worth 1.3 ???  P/E is 9 which is reasonably good value, unless we are suggesting the earning is inflated, 0.807 would make the P/E=5 which is bargain basement compare with other stocks in the market, say other mining stock...Far fetch assumption I would say, of coz I would hope I can buy at 0.807....realistically maybe a long bear may allow us to see this price...is the big grizzly going to come out?? Your guess is as good as mine.

This is a company with low profile, but they make profit year in year out, the major shareholders certainly know that,

AK is wise, there are better counters, my point is to keep an eye on this one, maybe a good opportunity because everyone is eyeing the others...but run a little risk of having to cough up to pay for Rights....

Lets test out this scenario...lets say I want to buy some of my company shares, it has gone up too much already, what are the ways to bring it down before I can buy more without breaking the bank? Revalue the company to its disadvantage...can maybe? Raise rights issue while gearing is low?...likely maybe people think we are going to gobble up somebody else, maybe we skrewed up somewhere need the share holder to cough up money...possible.

My guess (caveat emptor) is the Rights issue is due to one of the two suspected reasons, maybe just simply prudent to ensure sufficient capital for future development (capex, refineries, transportation, etc) as there is a predction of sky high interest rate on the distant horizon...(read news somewhere last few days)..Capitaland also raise rights issue and ignited its rocket engine...maybe the golden boy also wants to play with rocket but got backfired?

Whatever it is this golden boy is doing something, I think is for the benefit of the company, palm oil is here to stay, Malaysia already predicted it will rally later part of the year. The premium is worth paying in my view. The talk about "cartel" (illegal in WTO right?), etc will further fuel the burning of palm oil, hence the golden boy comes in....I say whatever it is is still no concrete basis to downgrade it to hold, I think it is still a value investment in the long and mid run.

With some knowledge about this industry, I know this one is one that you keep for long and see it multiply, as long as the company is managing it well and not too greedy (psst...Sino-chip bad apples) you can bet your bottom dollar it will be one to collect. DYOHW and you will see. Keep this forum posted if you have any inside info or news about this co. Thanks

This counter was rated fair value of 1.50 years ago when it was making big losses, in a few days time it may report profit yet is less than 50cents, somemore takeover target as said by some...aiyoh, people (BB or IV) really dun know their rice prices...somemore they write commentary to buy and sell.....except we boring lot who enjoy this...

Hi All, good to hear that you made some today, as I said, it will rocket, some BB even try to write bad about it and spread rumours about compulsory purchase of 0.817...so that they can generate fear in the market and dump this gem and the lap it up. Keep sharing and keep adding more zeros behind the bank balance. ...cheers...thank you all too.

EPURE INT -150509-UOB KayHian EPURE INT ’L 44.5 cents | Buy UOB KayHian ups target to 60 cents from 35 cents, keeps Buy rating. Expects demand from China water treatment segment to stay firm and more than offset impact from weaker industrial segment. Adds China’s growth expected to bottom in Q1 ‘09, which may boost industrial production, up industrial water treatment demand. www.todayonline.com

Institution hold 36.3%, PTT hold 47.1%, 16.6% in public domain. Is this good or bad?

http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/institutionalHolders?symbol=STRL.SI

I would say good as there are 83 institutional holders, all can play against each other and the joe public. People talking about de-listing may need to convince all 83 institutional holders, remotely possible. I say tomorrow rocket !
