Genting Hong Kong Limited Announces Redesignation of Au Fook Yew from Independent Non-Executive Director to Non-Executive Director

The board of directors of Genting Hong Kong Limited announced that Mr. Au Fook Yew ("Mr. Au"), previously an Independent Non-executive Director of the Company, has been re-designated as a Non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 28 August 2010 due to his appointment as a director of Empire Resorts Inc.

Mr. Au, aged 61, was appointed as an Independent Non-executive Director of the Company on 1 May 2009. Mr. Au has been a director of Empire Resorts since August 2009.

Effective 20 August 2010, Empire Resorts has become an associate of Golden Hope Limited (as trustee of Golden Hope Unit Trust) (a substantial shareholder of the Company) which indirectly holds approximately 50% voting shares in Empire Resorts, and hence is a connected person of the Company under the Listing Rules.

Accordingly, Mr. Au is re-designated as a Non-executive Director of the Company on 28 August 2010. Currently, Mr. Au is a member of the Audit Committee of the Company. He also serves as an Advisor to a number of companies in Asia and Europe.
