I think tat priovrb aptly applies to u since u are emotional yet obstinately refuses to acknowledge it.

If tomoro CHHX were to shootup, r u instead going to again emotionally going to scream euphorically, "flying...flying...flying...".

If  screaming hysterically "tumbling... tumbling...tumbling..." when a stock dipped merely 0.005 cts  is not emotional, than I think  u make yourself a laughing stock to fellow forumers & u should publish a trading physcology book contrary to wat the term "emotional" is widely recognised in the trading community.

I simply can't bame u since u dun even know wat is emotional in the context pf trading, think either u r ignorant, never read any books on trading physcology or think u are smart aleck enuf, no need to read up trading physcology.

just to re-iterate, my "outcry" (if that's what richtan wants to put it) was certainly not emotional, neither does it arise from greed/fear/ulterior motives. i stand by what i think and i have not apologised for my personal opinion. my statement was purely an appreciation of someone who is kind enough to provide an alternate point of view that different from from mine.

From DBSV:

S-shares should rise after China’s PMI for May came in at 53.1

versus 53.5 in April, marking this the 3

that the PMI stayed above 50. Although the reading showed a

slight dip versus April, the figure was still better-than-expected

as some economists had earlier predicted the PMI dipping close

to 50 or even below. S-chips top the list of DBS Research’s Buy

recommendations with more than 10% upside to target price.

These are China Sports (TP: $0.29), Raffles Education (TP:

$0.78), Pacific Andes (TP: $0.57), China Hongxing (TP: $0.26)

and Epure (TP: $0.64).

I agreed that the market is always right, by juz looking at the charts.  Everybody can has a thousand reasons that the economy is still in recession, jobless rate is still so high, exports and imports are low, people are not buying and spending etc. USA is printing money everyday to loan it to the banks, but stock markets still goes up and it has been going up since Mar!  At least there is a support that the market will not goes down to the time when it is around Jan to Mar 2009.

Although it is now on the uptrend, it does not mean economy is recover, juz that people is getting use to all the negative news, and solutions are being pass out, but it is not dissolve yet.  USA has print trillions of money but where do previously the money in the Bank goes to ?  The money cannot juz disappear.

victorf      ( Date: 29-May-2009 16:37) Posted:

What i mean by "Market is always RIGHT" is not from the perspective of market economy (which in long term it should be efficient enough) but from the perspective of one trading position (judgement, do/don't, prediction, etc.)  One should not go against the Market as it is always Right (even if you have your own thousands of good reasons for it to go up or go down) and you must accept the fact that "Market is always RIGHT" Else it can be very disastrous.

According to this morning's China Economist (Refer to Channel News Asia Interview at 8:20am), PetroChina has a long term Strategy for SPC.  PetroChina share price GAP UP over three consecutive days (including today).

PetroChina will grow SPC into a more sophisticated Refining Complex to serve China's major customers in Growing Middle East with over 300 Million population.  Singapore's location is most Strategic as in NEW SILK ROAD (Please refer to the book written by the interviewed China Economist).

SPC will definite be more productive, effective, efficient, economical and prosperous.

PetroChina can SLASHED SPC Management Cost by at least 50% using Chinese Managers from China.  Even deploy Chinese Technicians from China. Use Chinese Core Contractors from China.  With such cost cutting, SPC profitability will SOAR.

Shareholders should THINK THRICE to hold the Price HIGH and refuse to accept the general offer at S$6.25 which is a DIRE DISCOUNT to its previous HIGH above S$9.00.  With the depletion of oil reserve and current rising Oil Prices, SPC is worth more than S$10.00.

Do NOT accept delisting of SPC which will prosper very soon.

THINK THRIC to Hold on to your SPC shares, it is worth more than S$6.25.

HOLD ON to your SPC FORTUNE.

Plse for heavens sake, get your facts right & know wat getting emotional is about, u truly are the greenest og the greenhorn.

As per my advice to u, plse read more trading books on wat is really emotional & control your emotion if u want to succeed in trading.

To scream hysterically "tumbling...tumbling... tumbling..." when it drops merely 0.005 cts is emotional.

Are u also going to scream euphorically "flying... flying... flying..." when it rises merely 0,005 cts.

Really can't blame u since u aredi admit u r a greenhorn, just to let u know, sharing & posting facts like "time & sales" to let fellow forumers aware of such insidous working of syndicates so tat fellow forumers are not being deceited are not emotional.

Let fellow forumers be the  judge whether u are being emotional with your factlesshysterical screaming or my facts sharing being emotional.

I m sure I have certain standing & respect in this forum, just to name a few, hope fellow forumers like Chong Wee, Alligator,  weishen81 & others who had read all my past postings & genuine sincere sharing of my knowledge & posting of my chart analysis, be the judge.

I shall rest my case & let other fellow forumers be the judge & this will be my last reply to such fruitless & waste of energy tit for tat, though I m reluctant to reply, I must reply for the last time to set records straight.& henceforth, I will refrain from replying to your endless no value-added illogical  arguments for the sake of rebuting.

This should be good news for SAR:

Commodities Head for Biggest Monthly Rally Since July 1974

By Halia Pavliva and Millie Munshi

May 29 (Bloomberg) -- Commodities headed for the biggest monthly rally in 34 years, led by energy, as the slumping dollar boosted demand for raw materials as a hedge against inflation.

In May, the Reuters/Jefferies CRB Index of 19 energy, metal and agricultural prices has gained 13 percent, the most since July 1974. The dollar headed for the biggest monthly drop this year against a basket of six major currencies.

Signs of a recovery in the global economy have spurred demand for fuel, industrial metals and crops. Crude oil was poised for the biggest monthly gain in a decade, and gasoline has soared more than 30 percent in May. Gold, silver and copper surged, while corn and soybeans reached the highest since September.

“The belief that the world economy is not going down into a black hole anymore has brought a lot of investors back in,” said Peter Sorrentino, who helps manage $13.8 billion at Huntington Asset Management in Cincinnati. “You also have the threat of inflation and that means that people just want to have hard assets.”

The CRB index gained 1 percent to 252.36 at 10:54 a.m. in New York. The dollar was poised for the third straight monthly drop against the currency basket, partly on demand for assets with higher returns.

Investors are seeking a “safe haven from a weaker dollar,” said Stephen Platt, a commodity analyst at Archer Financial Services Inc. in Chicago. “This rally is sustainable, given prospects of the dollar, which is expected to weaken along with other industrialized countries’ currencies.”

How to recommend lobang when mkt run up so much, anytime may correction, so far still no meaningful pullback to consolidate , sooner or later will get stomach upset & indigestion. Waiting for diarrhoea ok then search for lobang again. Mkts is always there, such will pullback wan, no need to scared no pullback.

So far only see SAR & selective S chips still ok, SAR still laggards among all commodity & energy play.

CheongWee, would you recommend a Singapore broker that deals with spot gold ? It may be more worth while buying gold there, with leverage than thru ETF. My thots only.

Kindly provide further guidance,.. on brokers in Singapore. Thanks,
