Why wait? If you don't dare to place a bet now, what makes you think you will place a bet when its lower?
The ones who make money don't wait for things to happen....
They make things happen... And thats why so few are making and so many are losing ...

The imminent danger here is 1 word.

STAGFLATION. No economic growth and rise in prices.

This is a fact that we have seen in the past 2 years.. If that happen, then the result will be dire.. no point keep printing money, QE3 ,4 or 10..
if one part of the body fails.. the rest will feel the pain as well.

Trade wisely.

If on the streets you happen to shout " SIAO market" .. people may think its " SELL market" , and they may listen..

But one thing is for sure, we are starting to see a lot of new forummers emerge here ...

They are starting to be indifferent and baffled why things are like dat..

and also  nowadays,  more people are happier with NATO... hehehe!

(" ,) i share your sentiments..
Sometimes in these type of volatile market, people start to have " split personalities"
Maybe cause they buy both put and call warrants.. either way also win .. (cause they can't  lose.. only win..)

Ignorance is bliss~~

if you remember those who panic and sell in the beginning of the crises in 2008, will the one who have the less heartache.

if this round you have do the same, today you lose less, but now till not late,

if 25% down , still ok, but if you delay, then the lose will be realise.

for if 1.0 become 35c..you got to have a 185% .just to even.

and that is possible if recession, this rd will be deep recession, make it even more possible,

Whether you like it or not.. the stock market is not a safe haven...

Not for your good health or good mind..

Because it never fails to make people either too worried or too estactic  ..

I think you mean fry fish (ikan) and catch kite... when kite falls on their roof top.

The bottom line is everyone has their say...

Its up to you who you choose to believe...

utlimately  your choice will make you either a  winner or loser

In doom time, the experts say it's a recession, depression, will take a long time to recover.. n then what happens the markets rally to the moon..

So ask urself what are these experts saying now?.. probably the opposite of what they say will happen..

Stock odds is a lots better than Casino rubbish odds (Expect PVP Texas Holdem- This need real skill).

In Stock-

-U can see the market trend to favor your odds

-U can buy and hold in bull market

-U can hit and run in cow market

-U can short in bear market

-U can chose your horse

-U can get dividend

-U can use news and rumour

-U can see fear and panic

-U can see market confidence

-U can see ghost :)

Those lose because they cannot see anything, they just anyhow bets in wrong ways wrong times. Thats why many lose and fews win.

Only the person who has the discipline will know how to take small bites.

Alas! In this world, many mindless people are panicky or greedy

And they will only know how to   " Mau Sell" or " Mau buy"

Cause in the first place, they don't really care, whether they die or not.

Sadly, only their loved ones will care and be affected.

There are 2 sides to a coin, heads or tails.

Some may think betting on " head" is crap, some may think betting on  " tail" is crap

Ultimately whether its heads or tails, the  choice still lies with that person,

And that is the fact of  everything in life, including the stock market.

iPunter      ( Date: 21-Aug-2011 22:23) Posted:

But I think sifu will understand this...

that when you tell them, many will be against you...

Because many will feel bullish and they will tell

you " buy when everyone has fear" and all that crap.

Thus, this is the fact of the stock market.... Smiley

People are funny and like to make predictions  ...

When bear market comes, they say stock market crashing..

When stock market crashing, they say war coming ...

When war comes and many  people start dying, they say end of the world ...

When end of the world not coming, people start buying the market again..and the cycle repeats.

Selling is the hurdle, everyone has a problem with...

If you sell and the next day it goes up, your heart sink..

If you sell and the next day it goes down, you will tempt to buy again, cycle repeats...

If you don't sell, the only best thing you can do is to wait...

Cause even if you sell when you already have lost everything, its no point selling Smiley

Holding seems to be the easiest thing to do...

Many are willing to hold because of their reasoning being it is

only paper loss and they are sure to make it back if they wait...

This very commonly encountered anywhere you go.

Usually, when they do let go, it is because of unbearable loss... Smiley

Agreed.

There's only 1 rule that I always think people should abide in stock mkt (however very few people know and they don't know how to.)

-> Don't blame others (broker, neighbour, ah pek  , ah ma,  kids, pet dog or cat etc.)  when things turn out sour. Learn to control your emo.

iPunter      ( Date: 12-Aug-2011 10:56) Posted:

Generally speaking, people mostly know how to buy stocks.

They will buy and then keep and keep (hold indefinitely).

So whenever they see people sell, they will become angry.

They hate people who sell. They only know how to

buy more because it's cheaper than before. But the

reality is, they have refused to accept the market for

what it is. There is uptrend and downtrend in the

stock markets. Up and down are two ways to invest... Smiley

those stocks that u recommend drop too fast to exit...step brake also cannot brake in time...and not all trade both ways...and some has limited capital to play with...

nevertheless, my intention here is just to share my views from a newbie angle... just spare some thoughts to the new babies while commenting only lah... :) peace peace...i have learned from the hard way and will vest with more cautious..

last but not least,  though u kept mentioning that u dont refer to news and only your charts...just rem...charts are guidelines..but afterall, shares are played by people..and people are affected by news... :) similarly, when u post " STI going to drop like Siao" ...some readers may be scared and start anyhow sell their shares even at great lost... thats y i am curious about your intention at the first place...what do you gain by posting such advise in the forums...just curious only...

happy trading all.. :) hope those who vested can get some profit today or cut lost..which ever comes first.. :) HUAT AH!.

definition: newbies = someone who is new in the " game" or " business"

old birds = someone who is  has " experienced" and have been in the " game or business" for sometime already

Thus for newbies to be old birds, they will have to experience the ups and downs of the market (thus also they may lose heavily or vice versa)

I always believe if one truely wants to learn how to trade or invest properly (which may take years), the person will meet with some setbacks (losing first) before he rise up (winning later).

Nevertheless, this is just MPO.

PS: if they don't lose, how  will  they ever learn not to (," )

iPunter      ( Date: 12-Aug-2011 09:36) Posted:

This is very dangerous to newbies...

If more newbies catch the idea of becoming rich

through the stock market, they will not perform

well in their priamry occupations... plus, they will most

likely lose like sheet. Stocks betting is hardly

something to be encouraged, especially with

the view of making a killing. This of course

does not apply to those who can afford to

lose a lot of money if they lose... Smiley

What I don't understand is that newbies or not newbies.. everyone makes mistakes.

Its whether you learn from your mistakes or not. (" ,) (," )

its almost similar to your saying " investing or trading, its all still a BET! We are all betting on the future..whether good or bad.. "
