In view of the current ASX saga, SGX's robust earning potential, on mid to long term, had been coloured grey by market sentiments. Let's ask: (a) Will SGX succeed in acquiring ASX? The probability is close to NIL. If so the stock price will recover fast enough; (b) But what if it succeeds in the take over bid? Then the stock price may drop and this is going to hit the speculators harder. But for those who trade for mid-long term investment, the potential returns are still attractive when the stock rebounds. By then, my bet is it will reach a high of $13.00 within next two years! |
