Wah,,,, sound like change of name coming..  coming Genting HK.

PROPOSED CHANGE OF COMPANY NAME
The board of directors (the “Board”) of Star Cruises Limited (the “Company”) proposes to change the name of the Company from “Star Cruises Limited” to “Genting Hong Kong Limited” and adopt the Chinese name “雲頂香港有限公司” as the secondary name of the Company to replace the Chinese name “麗星郵輪有限公司” (which was adopted for identification purpose) (the “Change of Company Name”). A special resolution will be proposed at a special general meeting of the Company (the “Special General Meeting”) to be convened and held as soon as practicable for the shareholders of the Company (the “Shareholders”) to consider and, if thought fit, to approve the Change of Company Name.
The proposed Change of Company Name is to align with the corporate strategy of the Company in diversifying into land based integrated resorts, casino and entertainment businesses, in addition to its existing principal businesses of cruise and cruise related operations. It also reflects the Company’s primary place of listing and its affiliation with the Genting Group. Genting Berhad, the holding company of the Genting Group of companies, is listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and is a substantial shareholder of the Company indirectly.

well, i think this issues appeared to be hitting the buy limit that was set by you and your broker when u started trading.

as such this is a good lesson for you.

if you believe you will be trading with higher values in near future, it is then wise to discuss with your broker to increase the buy limit and sell limit so that when you need it you will be ok.

Dear ALL, I sent a sell order through my POEMS account this morning and was rejected (3 times). I called my remisier and he said he will increase my limit to another 30K and asked me to key-in after 15 mins. This caused me to miss a much better price. In fact, I bought the stock on 2nd Sept and have collected the scrip on the 7th Sept (in my CDP). Did any of you have this bad experience before? Please share. Regards.

The answer to your Q is:   BI = BUYing In market, a place you rather NOT get involved.

normal market is call Ready Market.

However, when there is a seller who SOLD shares ( including nil paid rights shares) but on T+3 he is unable to deliver the shares, then CDP shall go into the BUYING IN or in short Buy In market and 'force' the buy in on those shares to complete the deal.

CDP shall charge high fee to the dafault seller.

Now come to Rowsley R, since the Rights trading period ended on 7 sept, thus the READY market is now CLOSE for trading from 8 sept onwards. However, BUYIN IN market is still open for few more days so as to close all those that are default on delivery..

Thus you see BI only on this counter

from SGX website
Buying-In

Buying-In

Settlement of trades executed on SGX securities market takes place on the third market day after the trade date (T+3). If the seller does not have sufficient shares for settlement, CDP will conduct buy-in on T+4 to fulfill the seller’s delivery obligation.

The starting buy-in price for any security is 2 minimum bids above either the previous day’s closing price or any of the transacted or bid prices in the one hour preceding the commencement of buying-in, whichever is highest. The buy-in bid prices will be increased by 2 minimum bids from time to time throughout the day until the securities are bought or delivered to CDP.

CDP will charge a S$30 processing fee (subject to GST at prevailing rate) for each failed contract. A buying-in brokerage rate of 0.75% will be levied on each buying-in contract.

If you are entitled shareholder, then you are eligible to apply excess rights

If you are NOT entitled shareholder and you buy nil-paid rights during rights trading period, you can only exercise those u bought and NOT aligible for excess rights application.

Sorry just found out mine is ARS form, not ARE form... means cannot apply for excess rights rite?

alexwong      ( Date: 04-Sep-2009 16:11) Posted:

okay.. thanks alot!!! another question... Before this company issue rights, i have no shares in my holdings.. i only bought the nil-paid rights eg, in my case 22lots..  I paid up the 0.5cents and also i need to up 0.01cents to convert into mother shares.. In my case can i still buy excess rights? cause my ARE form which is in yellow color, only state that i need to top up the 0.01cents.. No other option/box for me to buy excess..

From my small small experience from buying the rights of FCOT, i was allocated 18lots because i have 6lots prior to the announcement of their rights issue.. The ARE form was blue in color with boxes asking if i wanted to buy excess lots.. Whats' their difference? Or is there any difference at all?

Thanks in advanced!!!

i do not think bank should know your CDP account. i have not come across that problem of bank saying about entitltment.

Bank ATM acts like a tool for ease of payment.

also, if you choose NOT to pay for excess, of course key in 0 for excess is correct.

perhaps you might be reading and interpreting incorrectly

just do it gain, key in 22000 on entitlement ( do not key in lot, key in number of shares entitled as in  ARE form),  excess key in what u want or zero if you dun want, just proceed to pay, collect the payment slip for reference

alexwong      ( Date: 04-Sep-2009 15:28) Posted:

Thanks Alligator for ur reply.. This morning i received the ARE form.. I went down to the ATM and wanted to key in.. I tried to key in my 22lots using the entitlement screen.. for excess rights screen i keyed in NIL (0) .. But the bank show me that i do not have entitlement for the shares.. Therefore i can choose to proceed or terminate the payment..

How come i cannot key in? Is it because i need to key into the Excess part? Or should i just proceed and pay ( By proceeding and pay, the bank's screen state that i will not be compensate and $$ if i was not entitled and rights)

Waiting for ur kind reply.. Thanks!!

Alligator      ( Date: 04-Sep-2009 15:04) Posted:

Last payment date is 11 Sept.

Payment method: ATM is simplest,

However if your ATM bank is NOT participating bank, then sorry, must use ARE form + cashier order.

How do you know your Bank ATM is participating?

as a entitled shareholder, CDP and coy will send you theARE forms and document,  check index page,  look for the participating bank page, go directly there, you can see if your bank is listed.
