HAHA uncle AK...like your joke

btw, i only go for SIA when the company insists on business trip. found very often treated less well than some other nationality.

So when on personal trip, no SIA for very very long time liao. When on other airline like jipun, hk, cina, tai wan, korea, etc, got much better treatment...

But AK opines that still a bit of fenghui issue. Wise saying, "name not right, difficulty in saying" loh.

Sex In Air, apa lah??? And looking ard d region, also chialat:

PIA, above must "Please Inform A.......h" Following:

AI, "A...h Informed" liao????? But still no end for d jokes??

CIA, "Carry on Inform A...h" big wok.

Anyway, above r jokes of d day, TGIF, no offence to anything.

Problem with SIA is they decided to focus on Bussiness Class and 1st Class market. A couple of years ago, they eliminated Y class seats on all their direct flights to USA. The financial crises has severely affected this sector. Many companies who previously allowed their staff to fly J and F class have cut cost and required their staff to fly Y of budget.

Friend of mine flew SQ direct Sin/LA/Sin.....he said both ways, less than 20 passengers on each flight.

Big strategic mistake by SIA.

Read from wiki

An acquisition, also known as a takeover or a buyout, is the buying of one company (the ‘target’) by another. An acquisition may be friendly or hostile. In the former case, the companies cooperate in negotiations; in the latter case, the takeover target is unwilling to be bought or the target's board has no prior knowledge of the offer. Acquisition usually refers to a purchase of a smaller firm by a larger one. Sometimes, however, a smaller firm will acquire management control of a larger or longer established company and keep its name for the combined entity. This is known as a reverse takeover. Another type of acquisition is reverse merger, a deal that enables a private company to get publicly listed in a short time period. A reverse merger occurs when a private company that has strong prospects and is eager to raise financing buys a publicly listed shell company, usually one with no business and limited assets. Achieving acquisition success has proven to be very difficult, while various studies have showed that 50% of acquisitions were unsuccessful.[citation needed] The acquisition process is very complex, with many dimensions influencing its outcome.[1]

just go to read 2.4 ( page 8). you can understand why.

If this proposal is approved by shareholder in EGM , then they can cancel the 9079659 shares.

If not, one alternative is for them to dispose the 9 over million shares, but this BADLY whacked down share price, i dont think directos, company and shareholder want that to happen.

so, since u got the document, either attend and VOTE for the proposal, or send signed  Proxy form, and VOTE for the proposal.

You need to understand the process of Rights issue as well as the Time Table

These are clearly described in the document as well as in SGX website.

Once you understand the process and time table you have the answers on your questions

Also, you need to understand another thing, what you see now in CDP account statement is your entitled NIL-PAID Rights shares..!!It is not your 'PAID rights shares' as payment procedure including EXCESS Rights application are together and after your send your payment CDP and COY will do the admin work in order for them to approve the Rights Entitlement as well as ALLOCATE excess rights application

You will ONLY know the EXACT  total number of Rights plus Excess Rights allocated to you on the date( plus one night) they issue new shares . today is 16 Sept, NOT reached time yet, you will not know your rights , excess rights and warrant until that date!!!

I just check and the Time for Map Tech New Shares issue is on  23 Sept,  and the time for SGX listed and trading of New Share is on 24 Sept.

Assuming you already PAID up your entitlement and applied Excess rights according to CORRECT procedure and before the closing date/time, what you need to do is to log onto the CDP on 24 Sept early morning and you will see the total number of Map Tech shares in your account:  total number = original number of mother share + paid number of entitled Rights shares + number of allocated Excess Rights shares

As for Rowsley, the issuance date is 22 Sept , you know your total share ( old mother plus Rights entitled, plus allocated excess rights ) plus warrant on early morning of  23 Sept. However, trading of warrant will start on 24 Sept.

ravikp      ( Date: 16-Sep-2009 21:39) Posted:

MASTER..

It means my excess rights was not succesfull..what could be the reason...also my rowsley warrants not credited to the CDP..dunno why?

Gorgon receives final go ahead from project partners

Gorgon project receives final go ahead.

It was reported today that Chevron and its partners for
the Gorgon project, ExxonMobil and Shell, have given
the final go ahead for the development of the Gorgon
field. Chevron and its partners will pump in A$43bn into
the initial construction phase, with work on the Barrow
Island plant to start immediately, and first gas planned
for 2014. Recall that estimated construction costs for the
Gorgon to be A$50b, and will propel Australia into the
second biggest global LNG supplier. This project is also
estimated to generate A$40b in revenue for the state
and federal governments.

Final investment decision comes soon after supply deals
worth A$145bn secured.
The final investment decision on the Gorgon project
comes hot on the heels of recently secured supply
contracts with China, Japan, India and South Korea for
the Gorgon gas, worth a total of A$145bn, including
ExxonMobil’s A$50bn deal with PetroChina, secured just
recently in mid-August.

As a recap, Ezion via its JV company, Offshore Marine
Services Alliance (OMSA), was awarded a A$350m
contract for the supply of marine vessels and labour for
a minimum 3-year period. Its other 2 JV partners include
Skilled Group from Australia and PBSea-Tow, a whollyowned
subsidiary of Pacific Basin from Hong Kong.
Contributions from Gorgon may kick in earlier than
expected; maintain BUY on Ezion.

With the final investment decision being made, we now
expect the project timeline to be firmed up soon, which
could potentially lead to opportunity for earnings
upgrade, given that we have assumed contributions
from this project, via the chartering of vessels from its
own fleet and its JV company, OMSA, to kick in from
2H10 onwards. Maintain BUY on Ezion, TP unchanged
at S$0.94.

Dividend had nothing to do with broker

If u are entitled, then CDP will send you CHEQUE to your registered address.

If you choose to direct credit to you bank, you should have it already.

Be sure to check when you bought, in order to be entitled, u must buy cum dividend, or on or before 3 Aug

I read your old posts.

it seems you talked about FCOT rights around Aug 12.

Whatever date you bought,, you need to take note that EX-dividend is on 4 Aug.

So if you buy either mother shares or rights shares on or after Aug 4, then you are not entilted for the dividend.
